Hive Music Festival Week 127 - Round 1 // How you remind me (Bass Cover) By @musicandreview
I think it is important that we remember our musical origins, although it is true that we evolve over the years and that our musical tastes change according to the times and the dynamics of our lives, it seems to me that going back a little is essential. I say this because, in particular, I usually get into musical potholes in which I don't know what to listen to, moments in which nothing motivates me and in which I have to dedicate time to look for new proposals, this doesn't happen to me often, but it does happen to me. So I usually fill those gaps with music that I used to listen to at least 20 years ago (which reminds me that I'm not a youngster anymore).
Based on the above mentioned is that today I share this song from the American band Nickelback, it is from 2001 and is called “How you remind me”. As you may notice this song is more than 20 years old, but maybe it is the flagship song of this band or the one with which we can identify it the most. Then came other hits, but I think none surpassed this beautiful song that is still heard in many corners of the world. Listen to this beautiful piece and enjoy.
Creo que es importante que recordemos nuestros orígenes musicales, sí bien es cierto que vamos evolucionando con el pasar de los años y que nuestros gustos musicales van cambiando acorde a las épocas y a las dinámicas de nuestras vidas, me parece que volver un poco atrás es indispensable. Digo esto porque, en lo particular suelo entrar en baches musicales en los que llegan momentos que no sé qué escuchar, momentos en los que nada me incentiva y en los que debo dedicar tiempo para buscar nuevas propuestas, esto no me sucede con frecuencia, pero me sucede. Es así que esos baches normalmente los lleno con música que solía escuchar al menos hace 20 años (cosa que me recuerda que ya no soy un jovencito).
En función a lo antes mencionado es que hoy comparto ésta canción de la banda estadounidense Nickelback, es del año 2001 y lleva por nombre “How you remind me”. Como podrán notar ésta canción tiene más de 20 años, pero quizá en la canción bandera de ésta banda o con la que más podemos identificarla. Luego vinieron otros éxitos, pero creo que ninguno superó a ésta hermosa canción que sigue escuchándose en muchos rincones del mundo. Escuchen ésta hermosa pieza y disfruten.

To record this bass cover I downloaded the song from the band's official Youtube channel, then, I used the Moises application to remove the original bass line, that way I could record a completely clean line. I applied a couple of effects to give prominence to the bass since it is obviously the central element in my performances, but I tried not to overdo it in modifying the original sound previously recorded. I hope my presentation this week is to everyone's liking, I really like to humbly share my bass covers with the community, best regards!
Para grabar éste cover de bajo descargué la canción del canal oficial de Youtube de la banda, luego, usé la aplicación Moises para eliminar la línea de bajo original, de esa forma pude grabar una línea completamente limpia. Apliqué un par de efectos para dar protagonismo al bajo ya que evidentemente es el elemento central en mis presentaciones, pero traté de no exagerar en modificar el sonido original previamente grabado. Espero que mi presentación de ésta semana sea del agrado de todos, de verdad me gusta compartir humildemente mis covers de bajo con la comunidad. ¡Un fuerte abrazo!

Cuando salió esta canción recuerdo que en la Mega la explotaban a diario jajaja y luego apareció la competencia en simultáneo que era la banda Puddle Of Mudd y la canción Blurry que mejor dicho también la hicieron sonar mucho. Mi mente tenía una dicotomía con estas bandas porque las amé de inmediato y dije, debo tener ambos discos y así fue, compré el Silver Side Up de Nickelback y Come Clean de Puddle Of Mudd, dos discos que me enseñaron a como hacer sonar la guitarra genial.
Esta canción en particular me encantó, pero me llegó a frustrar un poco porque el estribillo me recordaba mucho al estribillo de otra canción de otra banda que te dejaré más abajo que quizás la conoces. Entrando en materia, me gustó full tu cover mi Bro, porque rockeaste con estilo y es que volver a las raíces es acariciar de nuevo nuestra esencia, en este caso musical. La Mega es responsable de hacernos llegar la gran mayoría de la música que escuchábamos en aquellas épocas, sin esa emisora nos habríamos perdido de mucho, y claro, Puddle Of Mudd también estuvo sonando muchísimo.
Esa banda del link desde mi punto de vista tuvo un "one hit wonder" con esa canción jaja, aunque no sé sí tienen otros éxitos, la verdad no seguí la carrera de ellos.

I think it happens to all of us; because of the way we feel, we don't know what music to listen to. When that happens to me, I do like you: I turn to songs from the era, when everything was going well in my teenage years. While it's true that we evolve, those songs always have a place in our hearts.
