My Day - Tent Life Dream is Over

This week was a decluttering week and I finally parted ways with my old tent that I had been planning to do some trips with over the summer.

When you can pack your house up into a small bag like this, it can make travelling pretty easy and cost effective. With a small tent like this, you can throw it in the back of the car and it takes up hardly any space. Staying in campsites with just a tent or wild camping can be a low cost way to travel.

Inside the bag everything is wrapped up nice and neatly and I was thinking this could be a good way to travel. However, I was not able to realise this goal and decided to declutter and got rid of my tent where I had these dreams of travelling one day. Even though I bought it a couple of years ago, I did not use it at all. Perhaps I was just not meant to go camping in a tent?

To console myself I chopped some fresh fruits and ate them, wondering what else I could do to declutter.

It didn't take long before I found some old mobile devices and sorted them so that they could be recycled and not pollute the planet. It would be terrible if these things were just buried in the ground and not recycled and reused.

I hope to make another post about recycling these for the Clean Planet community.

To reward myself for decluttering, I decided to drink a Radler which is a beer mixed with lemonade.

In the summertime, they can be quite refreshing to drink now and then.

I do not drink too much alcohol, but this was a crisp lemony taste, cool and refreshing as I had expected. Quite different to the Weiß beer Paulaner that I had tried before.

You can mix your own beer and lemonade, but the nature radlers have a more lemony taste and therefore it is nice to buy them.

After that I decided to spend some time sketching and keep practicing. I haven't been getting the time to sketch lately and without regular sketching, you can lose the feel for it.

Thanks for reading, how was your day?

That seems like a day well spent. so nice that you can declutter your house, but the tent was just too pity to be decluttered, as it is still new, but since you are not planning to use it, I guess it is still have to go.

You certainly had a productive day bro. It's tough letting go of things like your tent, even if it's new. But hey, clearing out clutter feels great, right bro. Wishing you the best of weeks in the upcoming wow bro

Thanks, glad to have a productive day. It was hard letting the tent go, but at least it goes somewhere it might be used.

I have one self-assembling tent for two people and always keep it in the car. ⛺

Last year, I used it when I went to a festival where Monster Magnet was playing. Not yet this year. Quechua brand.

You have really done a good work with the tent. Moreso, this bag is big enough to contain everything you packed. It's well deserved. Good one man.

It's great that you're thinking about recycling your mobile devices and taking care of the planet. The Radler sounds delicious, I hope you enjoyed your well-deserved break! And it's wonderful that you've spent time drawing, it's important to keep that passion alive.

Thanks, it feels good to try and take care of the environment and not pollute it. It was a great break to relax with the Radler after a busy day. 😀

I really need to sort out and get rid of some old mobile devices. At the moment there just piling up in the spare bedroom. Did you wipe there files and storage? I wonder if they are ant sort of security risk.

Yes, I try to erase them and do a factory reset of each device. Of course there could be a way our data could be restored, but I think it could be difficult still.

Don't feel too bad about the tent. It's almost impossible to get them back in the bag the way they came. It wouldn't have been very nice, neat, and compact for long

Nice one! Every now and then we try to declutter, too but it's not easy. I can do it easily with my own things but when it comes to 'our' or hubby's stuff, things get tough. He's a bit more of a hamster, even though he doesn't want to be but 'these things are still perfectly fine and could come in handy - one day'. Ever heard or thought that one? hahahaha - tough as I said

That's exactly how it is with me too, with our or my wife's things makes it more challenging. I've certainly heard that it could be useful one day before!! A tactic I have been using is to donate things to people in need and then it's not so hard to reduce.
