Glimpse of navratri celebrations and deewali plan
Namasteπ
India is the land of festival. The whole year we celebrate festivals. There are many religious , many languages and many culture and traditions. Each day we celebrate various festival with whole and spread happiness.
Now Diwali is around the corner. We all are excited for this festival. Planning and Preparation starts a month ago for this amazing festival. This is one of favorite festival for many.
Before deewali (a month ago) we also celebrate Navratri. Now a days we're celebrating this festival. First let's know about this festival. I know being indian most of us know about that still I'll share some details than I'll share the celebration pictures also π it's because all over india we celebrate the festival but with different styles.
About navratri:
Navratri is a auspicious and most awaited hindu festival. This festival is the victory of good over evil. Navratri is a nine-day festival for paying respect to goddess durga. Navratri means nine nights. We celebrate goddess durga nine forms on each day. On 10 th day we celebrate dussehra marking to victory of goddess durga over the mahishasur. Also victory of lord ram over ravana.
How we celebrate:
From first day we conduct pooja and lit the diyas for 9 days continue( also called akhand jyot). The whole family get ready early and do pooja and chanting mantra and bhajan. That gives so positive vibes and deeply satisfaction & happiness.
This is the picture of akhand jyot and jaware.
Jaware sown( with wheat) on the first day of navratri and this picture i captured on 5th day. It considered so auspicious.
For nine days we observe fast and eat healthy.
I'm from Gujarat and here navratri celebrate in very fun and fantastic manner. Gujrati do garba and Dandiya for nine days.
Garba is a dance form which people enjoy wearing colorful traditional attire.
At every city in society, temple, ground and hotels organised event to celebrate navratri.
On the first day of navratri we went to market for shopping. There are many temporary shop on the road who sale these garba outfit.
On the fastival i always try to buy things from these people instead of big shops and online.
I purchased these outfits for my kid. This is the kutchi work.
First day we went to nearby temple to celebrate the festival and enjoying the garba ... here is the picture of the first day:
Here you can see all dance rhythmically in a circle. It is fun to be the part of circle.
At many place entry is free but mostly there is a pass system. Where you have to buy pass before navratri.
Most of follow pass system rather than tickets system to avoid rush at one place. So they make arrangements for limited person at one place.
We also buy pass for one place and enjoy there for 3 days.
Here is my son performing Dandiya π
This is the event picture.
Here you can see the typical kutchi outfit for garba event.
They also held some competition like decorate pooja thali and Dandiya.
These are some pictures i like the most.
Next day when we reached we captured some photographs.
Here you can see father and daughter enjoying dandiya. They look so cute π₯Ί so i captured them.
Only 3 days are left. These nine days passed speedly. I'm happy that i celebrate this festival with my family especially this time my son also enjoyed it. I want to teach him all tradition.
My Deewali plans :
I'm so excited for this festival. Even planning for this festival is quite exciting for whole family.
This time I'm thinking to make kachori at home.
Source
At deewali I'll share the recipe and my experience because i make it only once. My kid likes sweet so I'm also thinking to make one dessert at home.
I also have plan to shopping. I always prefer to buy diyas and rangoli colour from local market.
i also request you to all that please buy diyas and other stuffed from local market instead of online and make their deewali also beautiful.
How i forget about this .... cleaning the house for deewali π we've already started it and before 4-5 days of deewali we've completed this big task.
But when we saw the clean house it give so happiness.
We also make flowers and colour rangoli and decorate our home with lighting, flowers and banadrwar. At the pooja we wear new clothes and celebrate the festival with family.
Next day we meet with all relatives and friends and congratulate each other.
We celebrate this festival simply.
So this is my entry for the indiaunuted contest. I really appreciate this contest .. via this contest we can share how we celebrate festival and also can know how other celebrated which is really interesting.
Hope you enjoyed this.
