Ladies of Hive Community Contest #200 - A Meaningful life

Wow, we are on the 200th contest. All the Ladies out here in the @Ladiesofhive community are doing an amazing job. There have been so many communities who have been active for a certain period of time and then kind of gone quiet, but here in this community we are closer to a journey of 4 years and still going on with the same energy and growing with every passing day. The lead of this community @silversaver888 deserves a big applaud and so do all the moderators of the community who week on week are doing a fantastic job. @thekittygirl @cautiva-30 @amberkashif @ifarmgirl @merit.ahama @jane1289 @priyanarc @irenenavarroart
@elizabethbit @marivic10 @brittandjosie @trucklife-family @kerrislravenhill @saffisara @joanstewart. I have been in the moderator position for some time and I know it's not an easy job at all and needs lot of commitment. So kudos to this wonderful team.

For this week the contest questions are:
1️⃣ How do you define a meaningful life, and do you feel you are living one?
~ 𝐀𝐍𝐃 / 𝐎𝐑 ~
2️⃣ How do you handle failure, and what do you learn from it?

🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸

It's a very interesting question and very difficult to answer also because what may be meaningful for me may not hold the same relevance for someone else. Everyone has different priorities in life and that adds meaning to their life. For me there are two things which matters the most in living a meaningful life. First is catering to my family needs. When I say catering it does not mean financially. I want to be there for them all the time. My Son and hubby are the two most important people of my life and if they are happy then it brings utmost joy to me and taking care of them is my priority.

The other priority for me is what am I doing for the society, how am I contributing, am I being productive in any way, am I making a difference to them. My contribution does not always have to be very big and noticeable. Whatever is in my capacity in the moment I do and that brings value to my life. I am associated with various children NGOs and I make it a point to make my contribution over there in a manner that brings change in their life for better. That is financially as well as giving my time. I always emphasize on giving time because that's what we lack these days. When I see these little children smiling back and hugging me it makes a world of a difference for me.

When I see myself doing all of that I feel very happy and satisfied with my life. Yes I do it all the time, it is my life purpose to do as much as possible for the children who have no one to take care of them. I do not always have to do big things, some days I am able to do more and some days less and some days nothing at all, but as far as it keeps going I feel contended with my life and I feel worth living it.

A meaningful life for me is not about doing something or the other. It is about what difference can I make in someone's life, big or small.

How do I handle failure, and what do I learn from it?
Some people call me egoistic in this front, because I am not the person who wants to accept failure. First of all when I set goals for myself, I do a good study and prep on how to complete it and then start taking action, so if it looks unreasonable to me then I do not pursue it in the first place. But when I pursue it I know I will be able to do it and then failure is not in my dictionary. Even if I hit blocks on the way I keep trying to do it again and again till I finally win. For me giving up has never been an option. When things do not happen the way I want, I do not take it as failure and do not even give up on it. I just take it as a small hurdle which needs to be crossed and mission to be accomplished.

There are times when I give on certain tasks and that's because I feel that the energy put in may not be worth the output I would get, in such a case I like to just let it pass.

Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸

I felt lucky and honored when I came to know that LOH Contest 200 would be judged by me. This community has grown so much time and I wanna thank all the moderators, @silversaver888, and community people for this achievement.

Your life has a true meaning because you have a purpose in life. The purpose is not only for the family but also for the society. You bring value to the society and that's what I appreciate about you the most. Also, you explained how you handle failure by not considering it as a weak point in life. Thank you for sharing and thanks for participation...

Being there with our family at all times is more than having a meaningful life. May you have more time with them, and be the happiest mother and a wife at all times. ♥️
