Saludos hermosas mujeres de Hive estoy con ustedes porque me encanta los temas que se proponen en este concurso para hablar de nosotras las mujeres y de eso que nos diferencia de los hombres como lo es La mestruación. Cuando era niña queria crecer y no tenia ni idea de que al crecer representaría cambios en mi cuerpo y con ellos venia la mestruación mes a mes.

Greetings beautiful women of Hive I am with you because I love the topics that are proposed in this contest to talk about us women and that which differentiates us from men as it is Mestruation. When I was a girl I wanted to grow up and I had no idea that growing up would represent changes in my body and with them came the menstruation month by month.

Mi caso es bastante particular respecto a la mestruación, porque me cuenta mi madre que tuve un sangrado a los seis años de edad y me llevaron al médico y fui diagnosticada con pubertad precoz. Me colocaron un tratamiento para evitar que me llegará la mestruación a esa edad porque tendría problemas a futuro con la menopausia. Yo solo se que fue un poco traumático para mi ir cada mes a colocarme inyecciones para cumplir este tratamiento. Aunque se cumplieron los objetivos y mi primera mestruación me llego a los 11 años, yo siento mucho miedo con las inyecciones.

My case is quite particular regarding menstruation, because my mother tells me that I had bleeding when I was six years old and they took me to the doctor and I was diagnosed with precocious puberty. They put me on a treatment to prevent me from having menstruation at that age because I would have problems in the future with menopause. I just know that it was a little traumatic for me to go every month to get injections to comply with this treatment. Although the goals were met and my first menstruation came when I was 11 years old, I felt a lot of fear with the injections.

Y después que llego la mestruación continuaron los inconvenientes, porque tenia sangrados de muchos días, inclusive 17 ó 20 días, eso por supuesto fue tratado con una ginecologo y una endocrina. Afortunadamente se normalizo mi situación de la mestruación, pero sin duda yo debo tener muchos cuidados cuando llega la mestruación.

And after menstruation came, the inconveniences continued, because I was having bleeding for many days, even 17 or 20 days, that of course was treated with a gynecologist and an endocrinologist. Fortunately my menstruation situation was normalized, but without a doubt I have to be very careful when menstruation arrives.

El hecho de la mestruación represente la expulsión de sangre y desechos del vientre, es bastante molesto, y algunas veces causa dolor e inflamación, y ni hablar de los cambios de humor. En estos días yo tengo algunos cuidados en estos días de la mestruación:

  • Lo primero es mantener una buena higiene íntima.
  • Usar ropa interior de algodón.
  • Bañarse temprano.
  • Me gusta tomar té en las noches para mantenerme caliente.
  • Evito levantar cosas pesadas.
  • Evito rasurarme y tocarme las espinillas, para evitar manchas en la piel.
  • Usar bien la toalla sanitaria para evitar derrames.

The fact that menstruation represents the expulsion of blood and waste from the womb, is quite annoying, and sometimes causes pain and inflammation, not to mention the mood swings. These days I have some care in these days of menstruation:

  • The first thing is to maintain good intimate hygiene.
  • Wear cotton underwear.
  • Take an early bath.
  • I like to drink tea in the evenings to keep me warm.
  • I avoid heavy lifting.
  • I avoid shaving and touching my pimples, to avoid skin blemishes.
  • Use the sanitary napkin well to avoid spills.

Es increíble que siendo este proceso de la mestruación bastante desagrable es parte de nuestras vidas, y en esos días uno se siente mujer en todo el sentido de la palabra.

It is amazing that being this process of menstruation quite unpleasant it is part of our lives, and in those days one feels like a woman in every sense of the word.

Getting your periods that early at the age of 6 must have been very scary. It's not easy to manage at that age and I am sure the treatment must have taken toll on you at many levels. Self hygiène is very important during these days to avoid any kind of infections.
