503rd Commemoration of "Battle of Mactan"

Hello to all of my fellow hiver folks, How are yeah all? Hopes you are all doing great, and let me share to all of you here my diary for today.

As yesterday April 27, 2024 - was one of a kind event that happened in our place, the 503rd commemoration of the "Battle of Mactan".

According to history Fredinand Magellan, is a Portuguese man which serve the King of Spain and became a Spanish navigator who visited in Mactan on April 27, 1521 which is also the Battle of Mactan happened. They fought with the native hero of Barangay Mactan which is Datu Lapu-lapu, Datu Lapu-lapu did not agreed to Ferdinand Magellan's proposal to spread christianity to the local.

So early in the morning, builds a memorable moments with my children and wife, and it is really a priceless and precious thing for us as a parent. Which is the entire family have a date at the Mactan Shrine, the famous place where the monument of Lapu-lapu was found and it was located at Lapu-lapu City, Cebu, Philippines.

So we decided to take a walk and enjoying the views of Mactan.

And we back then in the night, were it is my families and childrens third time visiting in this place because I remember their second time to visit here, was they are still at their young age. And now they are already a teenage, how times really flies so fast. A child before then turning now into a teenager but the place is still fresh to their minds.

They loves to take a pose on different side of Mactan Shrine. Whereas my wife and myself was their official photographer, and after their posed I also decided to take posed with my wife with my children because my wife wants to take a picture with my son and three daughters on the center of the paintings.

They doesn't matter how a lot of people waiting them as long as they could have some pictures of it. Both seems like a birds escape from the cage, they really enjoying a pose behind the beautiful paintings between the fight of Ferdinand Magellan and Datu Lapu-lapu as their background. It is where also the exact location where Ferdinand Magellan and Lapu-Lapu fought. But my regret is I did not took some pictures of the seas nearby, the sea where Magellan landed before they fought with Lapu-lapu.
