Although I missed when the event was hosted, thanks be to the organizers who deemed it fit for people to have another chance to listened to the broadcast and still learn from it.

Having listened to the broadcast on how to keep a community engaged after mint hosted by @khaleelkuzi. I must say that it was a rewarding time and moments listening to the deliberation and the discuss. However the speakers outlined that so many communities on #web3 fails to lived up to expectation and losing out of the game because they lack the necessary skills needle to maintain the community and making it interesting to members. This is very true because even here on Hive, there were communities that were vibrant and rewarding as at the time I joined Hive newly, but today those communities are death and gone. One of the speakers made a very lucid point that most leaders do not keep to the same energy that started a community. That's why at mint the community goes extinct.

Pointing out certain points I deduced from the discussion are as follows, first of all, all community leaders should have a clear cut expectations of the community. That means what the community stands for and what should be achieved at the end of the day. For him, it is wrong to just jump into starting a community without have in mind what to expect from the members.

Secondly, partnering with other communities was mentioned. From the discussion it was noted that a heads of a community can partner with another community in various ways to ensure that the community is lively. However it was noted that partnership is different from collaboration. .

Moreover, a system of rewarding members were also mentioned. It was noted that what made people to engage in a community is as a reward system put in place. This is a way of supporting hard work and creativity. However it was also started that the community can go bankrupt if it keeps on giving reward without a supportive system. Therefore not every time that reward should be given out to people.

Also, the effective use of discord was mentioned. According to the speaker, community can host a weekly game show or movies or question trivia to make members interact more. This point reminded me of the @Hivenaija community that does this weekly.

In addition, it was stated that hosting a physical event can also help maintain a community. Chiefly in this is the hive festival that takes place is a typical example. It was stated that creating a avenue where people can join virtually will also be of great help and supportive.

I heard it clearly when a speaker made mention of giving members responsibilities to perform. Assigning responsibilities to members will create a sense of belonging to the people.

Another is being friendly. That is, community leaders should foster a friendly environment where every member can share their opinions and thoughts without being punished for it.

Transparency was also made mentioned. This will help in building trust in the community.

However, many others were exhaustively talked about but in all it was very rewarding moments.

This event was hosted by Bread, Jordan and others.
Thank you.
