Hello, beautiful people of the internet, what's up?
Welcome to another post of the weekly Splinterlands art contest, this time, I decided to do a drawing in traditional, I hope you like it and enjoy the process.

The character I was inspired by this week is called Lyanna Natura, she is a summoner of the earth element, she can talk to creatures and animals. Her power is very special, for me characters with qualities linked to nature are fascinating, that's why I decided to draw her.

Process:

I started with this sketch after having made a first drawing for this fan art, as I was not convinced by that previous drawing, so I started again with a new idea. This time, I took inspiration from art nouveau, an artistic style inspired by nature and Japanese patterns.

Once the sketch was done, I started coloring Lyanna's character using alcohol markers, then, to add shades and shadows I used colored pencils.

I really like the effect between the markers and the colors, they work very well for any illustration, I like the texture of the wax over the ink stroke. In addition, I also decided to outline the drawing using an extremely thin black marker, this way I traced several details of the clothes, the face and the hair.

For the background, I decided to paint it with watercolor, all in the same orange color, and with the thin marker I outlined the flowers and animals that I drew and that represent the link of this character with nature.

I don't know if it happens to you that when you don't know how to finish a drawing, or you feel that there is one more detail to add, you have a person who helps you and gives you a new point of view to finish your drawing... In my case, my brother @russell17 is always there, and he encouraged me to give a little more finish to the background.

After giving color to some elements of the background and adding more details with the black eyeliner, I called the drawing finished. :)

What do you think? Personally I liked the art nouveau inspired details, it's a very beautiful style and I feel it goes very well with the design of this character.

Hola, gente bonita de internet ¿Qué tal todo?
Bienvenidos a otro post del concurso semanal de arte de Splinterlands, en esta ocasión, decidí hacer un dibujo en tradicional, espero que les guste y disfruten del proceso.

El personaje sobre el que me inspiré esta semana se llama Lyanna Natura, ella es una invocadora del elemento tierra, puede hablar con las criaturas y los animales. Su poder es muy especial, para mí son fascinantes los personajes con cualidades vinculadas a la naturaleza, por eso decidí dibujarla.

Proceso:

Empecé con este boceto después de haber hecho un primer dibujo para este fan art, ya que no me convencía ese dibujo anterior, así que empecé de nuevo con una nueva idea. Esta vez, tomé inspiración del art nouveau, un estilo artístico inspirado en la naturaleza y en los patrones japoneses.

Una vez hecho el boceto, empecé a colorear al personaje de Lyanna usando los marcadores de alcohol, luego, para añadir sombras y matices usé lápices de colores.

Me gusta muchísimo el efecto entre los marcadores y los colores, funcionan muy bien para cualquier ilustración, me gusta la textura de la cera sobre el trazo de la tinta. Además, también decidí delinear el dibujo usando un marcador negro sumamente delgado, de esta manera tracé varios detalles de la ropa, el rostro y el cabello.

Para el fondo, decidí pintarlo con acuarela, todo de un mismo color naranja, y con el marcador delgado delineé las flores y los animales que dibujé y que representan el vinculo de este personaje con la naturaleza.

No sé si les ocurre que cuando no saben cómo terminar un dibujo, o sienten que hay un detalle más por añadir, tienen a una persona que los ayuda y les proporciona un nuevo punto de vista para acabar sus dibujos... En mi caso, mi hermano @russell17 siempre está ahí, y me animó a darle un poco más de acabado al fondo.

Después de darle color a algunos elementos del fondo y añadir más detalles con el delineador negro, di por concluido el dibujo. :)

¿Ustedes qué opinan? En lo personal me gustaron los detalles inspirados en el art nouveau, es un estilo muy hermoso y siento que va muy bien con el diseño de este personaje.
