Hello pretty people of the internet, how is your week going? I'm feeling very well, quite productive regarding the drawings and projects I have in mind to do.

Today I'm sharing with you a new fan art, which I really enjoyed doing:

This week's fan art is about Lily Shieldpaw, a cute red panda. This is a summoner type character, I found his qualities very interesting, you can say that he is very pacifist; in his card he is accompanied by his two best friends: the snow leopard cub and the giant panda, together they join forces and try to protect other creatures against the forces of darkness and help the most vulnerable, however, I decided to draw him as the main character, I hope you like it!

Process:

For the idea of this drawing it took me a bit of time to imagine how I could draw this character, I didn't have a concrete idea in mind, except that I wanted him to look cute, so, after seeing several images of cute pandas sleeping and playing on trees, the idea came to my mind.

When I felt ready to start coloring Lily Shieldpaw, I used texture brushes again for the base and for some details, I'm really liking how the texture looks in my drawings so I'm making use of this kind of brushes more often, especially here because I wanted the fur to look fluffy.

The process of this drawing was full of corrections, due to the fact that I didn't feel quite sure about the image of the panda, even though it is a cartoon, I wanted it to match the real image of a red panda. One of the things I noticed that was not matching, were the eyes, too big to how they really should be (and they were a bit scary too).

After adding the details of the face like his whiskers and small but sharp teeth, I continued with the background. I decided to draw a night environment, in a kind of forest grassland, I think it's a quiet and safe place for this character to practice his powers and hang out. I changed the layer modes of the background to multiply to lower the saturation and make the panda stand out more, around him I drew a kind of magic blue aura together with little stars, and I finished the fan art.

What do you think? I feel comfortable with this drawing, it's really cute and I feel it captures the essence of the original character.

Hola gente bonita de internet ¿Cómo va su semana? Yo me siento muy bien, bastante productiva con respecto a los dibujos y proyectos que tengo en mente realizar.

Hoy les comparto un nuevo fan art, que me gustó mucho hacer:

El fan art de esta semana se trata de Lily Shieldpaw, un bonito panda rojo. Este es un personaje de tipo invocador, me parecieron muy interesante sus cualidades, se puede decir que es muy pacifista; en su carta va acompañado de sus dos mejores amigos: el cachorro de leopardo de las nieves y el panda gigante, juntos unen fuerzas y procuran proteger a otras criaturas contra las fuerzas de la oscuridad y ayudan a los más vulnerables, sin embargo, decidí dibujarlo a él como protagonista. ¡Espero que les guste!

Proceso:

Para la idea de este dibujo me tomó un poco de tiempo imaginar como podía dibujar este personaje, no tenía una idea en concreto en mente, salvo que quería que se viera tierno, así que, después de ver varias imágenes de lindos pandas durmiendo y jugando sobre los árboles, la idea vino a mi mente.

Cuando me sentí lista de empezar a colorear a Lily Shieldpaw, usé nuevamente pinceles de textura para la base y para algunos detalles, me está gustando mucho como luce la textura en mis dibujos así que estoy haciendo uso de este tipo de pinceles con más frecuencia, especialmente aquí porque quería que el pelaje luciera esponjoso.

El proceso de este dibujo estuvo lleno de correcciones, por el hecho que no me sentía del todo segura de la imagen del panda, a pesar de que se trata de un dibujo animado, quería que coincidiera con la imagen real de un panda rojo. Una de las cosas que me fijé que no estaba concordando, eran los ojos, demasiado grandes a como realmente deberían ser (y me daban un poco de miedo también).

Luego de añadir los detalles del rostro como sus bigotes y los dientes pequeños pero filosos, continué con el fondo. Decidí dibujar un ambiente nocturno, en una especie de pastizal del bosque, pienso que es un lugar tranquilo y seguro para que este personaje practique sus poderes y pase el rato. Cambié los modos de capa del fondo a multiplicar para bajar la saturación y hacer que el panda resaltara más, a su alrededor dibujé una especie de aura azul mágica junto con pequeñas estrellas, y di por finalizado el fan art.

¿Ustedes qué opinan? Yo me siento a gusto con este dibujo, es realmente tierno y siento que captura la esencia del personaje original.
