The Awesomeness of Hive - Contest #227

HIVE THUMBNAIL DESIGN.jpg

How did I hear about Hive blockchain and what made me join?... So, let me take you back to the first day I came across the Hive blockchain... I've been on Hive for quite sometime now, i'm going to say, I've loved every bit of my interaction and creating blog content on this hive platform.... I have to say, it is super awesome and like a breath of fresh air.

So as a designer and a creative person in general, I've always had passion for creating blog content whether it's in design, business, technology or creativity related content, it doesnt matter as far its something i'm passionate about and love... sharing content is something i've always loved doing even before I joined hive.

However, I disliked the idea of having to go through the hassle and technicality of always setting up a blog from scratch... from hosting to setting up wordpress or any other CMS platform...

Blogging on social media was an easy alternative but the main issue with that is that you dont own your content... the platform does... your content can be censored at any time or your account can be deleted at any time without any sensible reason... maybe because you posted something that violated their terms unknowingly.

So after having a long thought about it, i decided not to go through that social media route to create blog content and went on searching for alternatives on the internet, then I discovered steemit and decentralized blogging on the blockchain which I immediately fell in love with the whole idea...

I used it for sometime before the Hive fork took place and I was super excited I finally found a platform where I could feel at home and blog without the fear of censorship or account getting deleted.

I wasn't active on hive yet and consistent mainly because my posts weren't getting any attention back then... I decided to give up on blogging mainly because I thought blogging or content creation wasn't for me...

Fast forward recently, I decided to give blogging and content creation a go again... This time, to be more consistent and I'm loving it...

So finally, the best thing about Hive and what I like about it is the different active communities most especially this community "Ladies of Hive" where I can feel at home and learn from other amazing women here on hive and also share relatable content that other women can connect to and also engage with...

Apart from the amazing communities here on hive, I also love the different interfaces available to use to post content on the hive blockchain.

Ecency being my favorite interface to post my content on simply because of how easy it is to use and modern it is... It's super awesome. I also like Inleo because of its twitter-like (X-like) look and feel and how simple and clean the interface is. and finally Peakd because of how robust is it with amazing features.

Above all, I really love the hive blockchain and being part of this amazing "ladies of hive" community with wonderful people engaging with each other has brought back my happiness and excitement when it comes to creating and sharing content.
