Greetings,

How are you doing, passionate of landscape photos on hive?

It is a pleasure to be back on the photofeed contest for this amazing contrast on the landscape at the beach.

I was not aware of this difference until I review the photos I took last weekend.

The place look so different considering the spot where you stand and the direction you look.

I feel like these photos serve as a continuity almost complementary impact on the mind so it is not a choc to the visitor at the beach to choose the place to relax.

I put in tree categories the different way you view the landscape at the beach in Cotonou. Also, I put the original observation at the end to show nature with less disturbance of the human activities.

My entry in the landscape photography contest is a series of various style of human intervention on the natural space at the beach.

A-/ First category

You can see a pill of red sand and strong blog of rock dispose on an orderly fashion to create a temporary path to allow truck to bring and take out heavy material from the coastline.

B-/ Second category

You can agree with me that the second set of photo is way more close to nature. I will confess that the second area is my favorite, especially when the sunlight hit at noon and the sand are as hot as a boiler signaling the 100 degree.

It is the only place you can cache the breeze when the sky is clouds free and the heat rises.

C-/ Last Category

Nature has expressed the power to reshape the pill of sand near the waves to a point that nobody stand too long in this space.

It leaves nature follow it own course in an ecosystem linked and multi shapes

The fishermen have seen the sandbank disappearing in front of their boat parked safely a considerable distance from the Ocean.

The proof of the rule of nature is just showcase in this photo. The boat is not going to spend the night in this location, otherwise the Ocean will reclaim his territory and everything on top of it.

It is possible to observe this situation in many other places. If you have on the contrary a very homogenous situation at the beach, you are luck. Business will love to put more installation along the coastline, but the fury of the waves and tide moving at irregular height forced the urban development project to stay way back.
