Roaring waves Swallowing Coast Sandbank - Black&White - #monomad Challenge
Greetings,
What a start of February on the photo walk adventure at the beach!
It was crazy on weather forecast last weekend in Cotonou City.
The indication that all was thin to spend some beautiful time on Sunday at the beach was perfectly visible by all citizen on the Ocean side.
I was a bit far from the coast, but I was sure to have a wonderful bright light to capture details on my photos.
It happens so fast the clouds just appeared from nowhere and darken everything along the coastline.
My photos have taken a bit of dark color, but I arrived two hours before the whole drama.
I am so happy to share with you this simple photo of the ocean slowly conquering the land a few waves at the time.

My entry in the #monomad challenge is the black and white photos. Roaring waves fighting the sandbank on coast.
It is a photo I took right after my arrival at the beach. There were so many soccer players and people sitting on the sand ten or twenty meters away of the waves.
The wind was barely strong and the was not as calm as I used to witness the moves on the beach this last two weeks.
--
It felt strange when the wind picked up and the wave became less high, but still carrying a large volume of water up the sandbank. I could easily remark on the ground the massive volume of sand being dragged by the water once the Ocean, recall this white foam forming above the ground.
--
The real danger was to think that the seemingly calm Ocean was welcoming to batch or swim during this shift of climate condition.
The water was warmer than usual and the speed of the cold air feel like a pressure on me to jump in the welcoming water at my feet.
I know better than to fall for this trick. I am not a professional swimmer and even If I knew how to handle this rapid currents, I would never risk my life in this condition. Almost all the soccer players had left the beach due to the darken clouds gathering the Ocean and quickly moving over the beach.

In less than thirty minutes the place went from the two photos from above and below this section to dark wet and windy place.
It was deserted, but I stayed to see what will happen. I had a plastic bag for the device as a protection against the rain water.

This rain at the beach would be the first of the year while I am present on site. I was impatient to witness the event, but somehow the clouds just scattered, and the sunlight hit the sand on the empty place.
What can I do? These events are not under my control. I took my camera and enjoy the rest of my walk not too close of the waves now.
I took the photos above with my Huawei Nova 5 smartphone camera, all the pictures and the words are mine.

The sea with its moods... if it is rough, the waters get warmer. Hahaha... there is a photo that has such a dramatic touch that it looks like you are on a sphere and if you walk towards the edge you can fall off endlessly.
Greetings!
