Social Media Challenge - Water Circle - Counter Magic Strategies

avatar

Greetings,

How are you doing, brave Splinter on Hive?

I guess your first five day in the new season have been more or less rewarding, and I wish you success in the achievement of your goals in the game.

My adventure so far is great, and I can not complain because the last brawl competition was a 90% success for the entire team Alliance.

It is now a social media challenge opportunity to present one battle that highlight some improvement of my strategies in the arena.

I hope this lineup in the arena will add value to your future game play as we all grow better experienced fighters in Splinterlands.

What was the set rules

Fog of War: Units lose Sneak, Snipe, and Opportunity.

Stampede: Trample (after using a melee attack to defeat a unit, performs another melee attack against the unit in the next position) can trigger multiple times if the trampled unit is destroyed.

Need for Speed: You can only summon units with 3 or more speed.

Mana Total One side: 55

Best selection in the arena

THUMB

My water team selection was not as powerful as my life combination of magic fighters. I had no option to bring the light life team on the board due to the random filter apply before each battle.

The water warriors looked more capable to fight in this special occasion. I was not going to create a combination of Melee fighters in majority, but a mix of many fighters will help the effort to secure a victory.

It was a surprise to see on the opposite side of the board the Water selection present on the board. My fight was not easy on this one because the similar structure of the strategy on each side of the board would leave the outcome to the luck.

I know that the perfect response to the ruleset restrictions was the magic capable warriors as offensive element in my team. It was now the defensive measure against magic attacks that bothered me, as the count-down added urgency in the decision-making before the final submission.

I luckily changed one healing fighter to add Oshannus with magic void.
It was a wise move because the healing ability would never have enough possibilities to restore all the damage.

Melee warriors had large shield barrier and deep health points to hold the enemy in position, while my range and magic fighters destroy the life point of each cards at the back line on the adversary team.

It was a tight combat during the first three rounds, then Oshannus created the gap I was expecting on the defensive part of my strategy.

The offensive force of my opponent was fearless. The magic attacks caused enough damage to take out strong melee fighters in my line.

I did not remember why I put the melee fighter next one to the other. I believe it was in the rush before the count-down reaches zero. It is vital to keep in mind the right cards according to the rulesets.

I would have lost the battle if Oshannus was not present in the arena.

My summoner did not have the "reach" ability, so it was not the correct choice to place two melee fighters so close.

Finally, I found it useful to sacrifice Arkemis as a tanker, even though I could have used this spot and MANA to create a better combination of magic warriors.

Well designed Strategies

Magic warrior with the speed and void ability create enough turmoil on the battlefield.

My Supply runner modified the speed in my favor and gave my team a small advantage in the combat.

I learned many tricks from my own process of selection of cards, but also the opponent team on the board.

The dragon selection of cards with the water elemental fighters seem to be the most powerful proposition in this combat ruleset.

I would love to create such a unique lineup, magic resistant combination of cards against the opposite force in the match.

It was a pleasure to reach the audience this week with a short details of my adventure in Brawl competition.
