The end of 2023 was epic for the members in Splinterlands community. The recent pack released and the land launched were quite a monumental for investors and players. If you are a new players or just joined the Splinterlands univers, don't feel overwhelmed by the diversity of information on the economic or gaming side of this successful board game backed by blockchain.

How I was introduced to Splinterlands

The moment I saw splinterlands article on the web was in 2018. It was a difficult year for me and the interest on blockchain made available opportunities were interesting me very much. I was not sure about investing in a blockchain-backed game at that time, but I felt interested in the concept.

I took the time to watch other players share their progress in the game meanwhile I was learning the important steps to take once I enter the game. I was surprise that I had not bought my booster pack the first month.

As soon as I got green line to earn in Splinterlands I play as much as I could considering it can take time to complete quest tournaments and share articles.
The community support helped me back then even the fact that I knew many things about the game, I appreciate the patience of other players explaining and informing realitevely new Splinters.

I can consider my status as Long time player of Splinterlands.

What have you managed to achieve in Splinterlands?

Accomplishments were the gradually combination of all the assets I have earn since the Beta edition to the Rebellion Edition. I made an effort to never sell any assets I got or bought in the game for the past 4 years. I can now play in all league up to Champion with ease. I have enough SPS and DEC to join tournaments and vote on the Community proposal. I have not been in champion league more than two seasons far back. I kept all my gold cards collection even after their values have dropped significantly due to the bear market.

What are your aspirations within Splinterlands?

I have always tried to enter the leader board on my favorite league. The Gold league has an interesting environment where cards abilities are powerful and help players to reach high rank in the leader board. I have the goal to enter and dominate in the top 10 of the leaderboard in Gold League.
I hope to achieve this target with all the might and experience I got from all the year of playing in the game.

Strategy Tips for Beginners

I will recommand that players get their ways around the game in the free mode section first then purchase the booster packs. It take time to get a good overview of all the key element positions on the screen before getting your spellbooks.
Also, the review of previous battles with a specific type of ruleset is the training I never stopped doing since I joined Splinterlands.

You can find gems on the market place. Cards or others assets that surely can positively impact your adventure as a recent players in Splinterlands. Community official telegram group and discord servers are available source of information that guide the players.

The rental market presents multiple choices of powerful warriors which can strengthen your line up as you progress in Splinterlands. These cards can help newbies cross the Novice and Bronze leagues with no headache.

What advice would you give to beginners, based on your experience?

Community group forums on Discord and Telegram are great centers of knowledge and opportunities for all Splinterlands actors. I learned a lot on the Telegram official forum for Splinterlands. Therefore, I invite new players to join all the official groups so they can make the right decision that will propel their results not only on the battlefield but also on the economic side. The land project is a perfect example of the importance of this groups support.

It is the perfect place to ask questions and get accurate answers from experienced players without too much delay.

Challenges I faced, and overcame. Also, memorable moments

As a final note on this section of guidance to all new members or unaware players in the ecosystem, I would like to invite you to keep showing up daily in the game. It is not going to be easy at first but my experience is a proof of success in this space.
My local currency in West Africa had almost no pair for trade into crypto in 2018. I was not making much progression in the game because of this limitations to acquire specific assets. The situation got better in 2020. I could then move out of the Silver League and tackle bigger challenges in Gold and Diamond.
It was a rough time when I lost almost 60% of the battle in the game, but it was a phase that helped me to understand much better the economics and strategies in the game.

You too can find support from the community members in social media official channels during difficult time. In addition to the previous tips, the writing articles on your journey and the lessons got from challenges have a very powerful effect to motivate yourself and other Gamers.

Siempre he intentado entrar en la clasificación de mi liga favorita. La Liga Dorada tiene un entorno interesante donde las habilidades de las cartas son poderosas y ayudan a los jugadores a alcanzar un alto rango en la tabla de clasificación. Tengo el objetivo de entrar y dominar en el top 10 de la clasificación de la Gold League.
Espero lograr este objetivo con todo el poder y la experiencia que obtuve durante todo el año jugando.

Recomendaré que los jugadores se familiaricen con el juego en la sección del modo gratuito primero y luego compren los paquetes de refuerzo.
