Importance of self- defense//LOH contest #163

This is a very good topic for this. Self defense has to do with the ability of defending yourself in a physical force. Self defense is one of the factor that defines us especially as a lady. One of the main factor of this is facing our fears. Before a lady can defend herself,she must be able to face her fears,don’t wait till you are harmed or till someone can come to help you because it might be too late.
Various cases that involves us to defend ourselves can be when we are attacked my armed robbers or during a rape situation. As a lady we should wait till we are been attacked,we should always be fully prepared for the worse.
Parents too has a lot to do in situations like this. Parents should always train there children right from tender age about how to defend themselves when they are in a situation like this. Do not put fear in there mind.

I remember some years when we had an attack with the armed robbers who came over to our house, I was so strong that i joined my dad to struggle with them. Despite the fact that they burgled the all windows,they were still unable to come in because we’ve also instilled fear in them and they didnt know what might happen to them if they eventually came in. They had all sort of things with them like cutlass,knife and so on but we were still fully prepared for them. One of them shouted from outside he said, “You are going to die today!”, I also replied them that “you will be the one to die today”. They were surprised because they never expected me to be bold as that.

Few week ago,he had an attack with them again but I wasn’t around. My younger sister was at home with my parents but due to the experience we had to them before,my sister was also strong and she could face them. She was also with cutlass and was ready to harm them . But this time around, they were able to enter. Immediately they came inside,they faced my sister and told her that “ why were you making things difficult for us,we’ll deal with you!!” . But the boldness in her didn’t make them harm her because they were scared that she could do anything. They didnt stay for long because it took them a long time before they could come in due to the struggle they had with my parents and my sister.
My point is that if she had fear inside,they will easily come in and might even harm her more than expected.

This is why I said parents has a lot to do when training kids so as prepare them ahead of such occurrence . If my parents didn’t train us like that, we might even end up being a rape victim. Ladies should also try as much as possible to always get prepared. You can always keep a pepper spray with you when going out. We should also learn some certain skills when necessary.
