Rain and Marriage - LOH #204

Smiling while writing this cause it actually rained yesterday and the weather is looking gloomy right now, where I stay.

Two out of the many things that instantly makes me feel bliss are rain and books. Rainy seasons are usually my favourite part of the year. From the life radiating from plants and flowers watered by the rain, to the chill breeze after the rain, I love it all.

There are two things I love doing while it rains.

To read or To sleep.

Since forever, I loved pulling the blanket over my head whenever I sleep. Although I can't do that in summer cause I need to breathe😂, I get the opportunity to do that a lot when it rains. If it's raining and I'm not home, I look forward to getting back home as soon as possible. When I get back, after doing all necessary getting back from somewhere shenanigans, I go to bed.

With a book in one hand.

A torchlight in the other.

I climb into my bed, pull my duvet, blanket or whatever over my head and I begin to read.
The sound of rain drops falling from the roof top to the ground, soothing to my ears.

Ohh, how I love it when it rains!

There are days when my first instinct is to sleep. And I do just that. The sound of the rain and the cool breeze caressing my skin, helping me fall more in love with sleep.

I love sleeping while it rains. That kind of sleep can't be compared to any other. It's so soothing.

There's this rhyme I was taught as a child, they still teach children now, it goes like 'Rain, rain, go away. Come again another day'. Please please, don't send the rain away. If you don't like it, go to your house or enter your classroom. Leave us who love the rain be. Let us go to our homes and exploit the rain how we know how to. Instead, you're keeping us in school here and telling us to sing the rain away. I was part of the kids that sang it happily back then. I didn't know much. But now, leave the rain to rain. Don't send it away.

Following the ladies of hive prompt for the week, my response to the first question is the above. I will like to answer the second question as well.

I'm not married. I can't say I understand the do's and dont's of marriage completely. But if I were to be in the lady's shoe, I would be appalled.

I believe everyone has the right to their opinions. As you do yours, I do mine. Why do I have to conform to all your wills because you're a man?

What if he is in the wrong? I should just say yes to everything. The effects of his decision which might have been avoided if I was allowed to voice out my opinion in the first place, we would all suffer it.

i won't react well in a situation like that. Most especially when it's against my feelings. I was taught to always voice out my opinions in unfavourable situations. So, I don't think I'll be open to accepting whatever is thrown my way because I'm married. The husband has to be understanding and accept my opinions.
My idea of marriage isn't one where you keep your opinions to yourself because your partner says so. My idea of marriage is one where you both get to share ideas, respect each other, make decisions with each other and not for the other.

If my husband says so, I don't think it would work.

I didn't marry to be subdued.

We'll both figure out how to listen to and respect each other's opinions for the marriage to work out.

Thanks for reading.

I'm not married... I don't know the Do's and Don'ts of marriage....

I'm not married but I know it's a rather circumstantial don't to do it outside.

Unless when it's a do, then it's a really bad don't if you do not.

😂😂😂😂

The custom of covering your head with a blanket to sleep seems relaxing, I imagine it's even better in the rain, and yes, we all have the right to express our opinions, !LADY

My mum calls it a bad habit but it's very relaxing, so I don't mind😂. Nobody deserves to have their opinions trampled upon for the sake of marriage

It would be different if you went out to enjoy the rain only to walk into your surprise wedding. 😮

Why's the man holding a wedding while it's raining?
He better be standing under the rain, holding an umbrella out in one hand. Otherwise, I'm not doing 😂

A torchlight and a book plus a cover over your head, that's a mysterious scene per my imagination hehe. But it must be nice to do that.

And you are right about having our opinions and views so we would not agree to anyone telling us to just shut up and do or approve what they say.

Thanks !LADY and hope you had a lovely day with the rain :)

Who knows? Maybe those who are around me when I do that might find it mysterious as well. But I love it😂.

I did enjoy my day with a book
