Political Hive Tribe Announcement: Launch Date, Front End, Community and Token "Brand Refreshing"
Sorry, it has been quite a while without any updates. There really wasn't anything to report, but now things are finally coming together. This will be the first of several updates between now and June.
TL;DR for this post: The Political Hive tribe will be launching in June 2024. We'll have an OUTPOST front end for the domain politicalhive.org. There will also be a community and token "brand refreshing" for the tribe.

After several years (first beginning on Steemit before the 2020 blockchain fork), the Political Hive tribe will finally be launching, and we are committing to a June 2024 launch. Ideally, it will be June 15th (the date the Magna Carta was signed), but we are committing to a launch in June 2024.
Political Hive will be paying 5000 BEE to get an OUTPOST front end. This will make the tribe's website layout similar to other Hive tribes like Hive Images (hive.photo) and MemeHive (hiveme.me).
The Political Hive tribe will be using the domain politicalhive.org. All posts using the tribe's tags will appear on this site for easier curation.
Because Political Hive originally began as @steemianpolitics before the blockchain fork, some changes need to be made to adapt to the Hive platform.
First, the Hive community for Political Hive will be moving from community hive-179804 to community hive-120417.
The other change is the tribe token. The token is still currently set to PAY (rewarding posts with the political tags), but the tribe token will become VOTE with the launch of the Political Hive tribe.
Rather than an airdrop or exchange program, Political Hive will be using an "opt-in" method through a VOTE:PAY diesel liquidity pool. The pool will be set up shortly before the June launch of Political Hive.
The unstaking period for PAY token is 28 days, so if you want to unstake your PAY tokens to swap for VOTE, you should start unstaking at the beginning of May 2024.

Another way VOTE tokens will be available before the launch of the Political Hive tribe is through other diesel pools. Starting in April, a few select pools will have VOTE tokens deposited for liquidity rewards. This will provide regular VOTE token payouts for the liquidity providers of the pools. Keep in mind that any VOTE tokens you may receive in April or May won't have utility until the reward pool and staking/delegation for VOTE token are set up.
Probably within a few months of Political Hive's launch, the tags for PAY will be changed. PAY token will eventually be used for some other project(s) in the future.

Other updates to follow will include the reward pool settings for VOTE token and which liquidity pools will have VOTE token rewards starting in April.

Yes, basically anything related to politics. For example of news, if you can explain in a post how the current price of bitcoin might be related to something a government is doing then it counts.
We should also expect some conspiracy posts about who in government is really a lizard person. Hopefully it doesn't get too crazy. As long as it's related in some way to politics posts will be given generous leeway.
Let's just aplly the base principe of hive, if something is bad we can downvote it, in this topic i will especially look to the truth of fact told by people, thats one of the reasons i wanna grab some token, fact check the posts and downvote hate speech shared with politics

Actually, this same ToS is in Outposts. Or was. I just checked https://www.hiveme.me/tos and it currently states TBA so maybe it is going to be revised and updated from the March 20, 2020 version.

I believe the age of 13 is to cover their bases in case someone tries to accuse Hive of running afould of United States COPPA or some other government's regulatory equivalent.
Oh, man...this is a great idea that is more than likely going to turn into a shitshow. Would be awesome to spark debate and spread news...but you know it's going to be a bunch of bickering and regurgitating of mainline talking points. I hope I'm wrong.
