My lessons as a mom. LOH Contest #184

Hello beautiful ladies of hive am always glad to be here.
I hope you guys are doing fine.
I love this week's topic and am here to write about the lessons I have learnt as a mother.

Dear ladies, I am privileged to be a mother of three amazing kids, raising them and celebrating them has been a great work.

Motherhood is a strong word, motherhood is beautiful, its beyond being called a mom, it is a responsibility.

It comes with a lot of challenges, expectations, fatigue joy, sadness, anger, happiness, exhaustion, anxiety, sleep deprivation, physical body changes, stress and hope and many blessings.

I have learnt a lot over the years through experiences and interactions and it has helped me to be a better mother.
One of the greatest lesson i have learnt as a mom is to be more attentive to my kids.

To be intentionally attentive:
Kids are sensitive and they can tell you a life threatening issues if only you are not sensitive enough to listen and to ask more questions.
I remember one day when my first daughter told me her baby sister fell and hit her face.
Since her baby sister wasn't crying, i decided to go on with what i was doing.
At midnight i went to check on my kids in their room and i noticed that my baby was bleeding from her mouth, her bed was soaked with blood and i had to rush her to the hospital.
And i was told by the doctor that the hitting was severe.
I wish i had done something about it earlier when the sister told me.
Now i listen to everything they have to say be it funny words or words that have no sense.
I just let them communicate.

I have learnt to be more patient :
Kids most times can be frustrating and it takes a high level of patience to be able to understand them, this has help me to be more patient than i could ever thought.

To be organised :
I have learnt to increase my capacity, be more organised and be a stronger woman.
This has helped me in my daily day's life.

To be sacrificial:
I see all my sacrifices as an opportunity to be there for my kids.

To be more forgiving:
I have learnt that kids will always be kids they will keep stepping on your toes until you are fade up and will come back to you.
You can yelled at them and they will still want you back.

To be Compassionate:
I guess this happened naturally, since kids came into my life, I have been more compassionate than I thought I could.

To be Happy :
I have learnt that my happiness affects my kids directly or indirectly, therefore I intentionally choose to be mentally stable for my kids.

Motherhood is the true definition of love.
These are just few lessons learnt and i Know that I'll keep learning more.

Motherhood is not just about raising our children but also raising ourselves as individuals. We learned so many great lessons from our children.
