Overwhelmed Emotions

Hello amazing community,it's been an amazing week and i hope we are all doing fine.

Concerning this contest,the topic is great because we deal with our emotions on daily basis,since we are humans.

Emotion has a broad definition it has to do with our feelings,our thoughts ,our behavior and our actions.

All these things are govern by our emotions and our emotions are express through them. such as anxiety,anger, happiness, sadness, sorrows, joy, grief etc

I believe that there's no human on the surface of the earth that have not experienced some emotions in some way or the other.

Yes i have been emotionally overwhelmed.
There was a time when i was so overwhelmed by negative emotions of anger and anxiety.

Raising three kids alone was draining
without a help,the task was huge because of multiple responsibilities i had to face.
I remember days i was emotionally drained and it was so frustrating ,mine was really a feeling of frustration and accumulation of stress over time.

Imagine how your kids would messed up the house you just finished cleaning in less than an hour?
I would scream my lungs out because of the kids and still manage to stay sane still for them,it was a difficult task for me at that point and in the midst of this anger i would breakdown with the feelings of sadness, feeling that am not giving and trying my best as a mom.

This was like a thorn in my flesh because i was constantly sick.
Doctors kept prescribing drugs for me and told me to avoid being stress out but the drugs was for a temporary relieved and i decided to stay healthy and to do something positive about it.

The first step i took was a change of mindset.I changed the Way i viewed my situation and i took the following steps.

- Breathing techniques : I tried the breathing techniques when ever I noticed that am beginning to get anxious due to unfinished tasks.

- I decided to let things go: I decided to allowed the kids to be kids and to express themselves.

- I magnify the positive more than the negative : I kept consciously dwelled on the things i or the kids did that was right .

- I challenged my negative thoughts: I kept telling myself that things will be fine, someday they will be all grown, that am just passing through a phase.

Finally, i gave myself the option of refusing to stay angry at myself or anyone .

i gave myself the option of refusing to stay angry at myself or anyone

This is so important. Sometimes we cling to emotions and thoughts without realizing that they are harming us. The best thing is to always flow with everything, accept what you feel at that moment and let it go so that something new can take its place.
