Qurator's Photo Quest "Mountain Elongated Shadow"

Hello Hive community.

I hope you all are fine. I am also fine here. My post today is for an interesting photo quest contest run by Qurator. The photographs of today's post are of the mountainous area en route from Rishikesh to Devprayag. It was dusk when I captured these photographs. The sun was moving towards sunset so that the shadow of the mountains could be seen far into the valley. And the river Ganga passing through the mountains is adding to the beauty of these photographs. The river Ganges winding its way through the mountains is moving towards Rishikesh. The Ganga river is considered sacred in Hindu scriptures. Ganga is not considered to be a river but an incarnation of Goddess.

Even before today's post I have made many posts on Ganga River and its surroundings. So there is nothing left to tell you about the river Ganga. In these scenes, one can see a beautiful range of mountains as far as the eye can see. The lush green mountains radiate freshness and vitality in the environment. The river Ganga passing through the lush green mountains gives these photographs a wonderful beauty.

As I let you know in each of my posts, I love to visit mountainous areas. The state of Uttarakhand has got a wonderful gift of mountains. The road from Rishikesh to Devprayag and Rudraprayag passes through mountainous terrain. Due to the mountains, the roads are winding and sometimes going up and sometimes going down, it looks amazing endowed with natural beauty.

I hope that my post will be accepted for the Qurator's Photo Quest contest "Elongated Shadow".
