Crispy curry puff pastry recipe.
Have a wonderful day, dear friends. How are you all doing? After a long spell of sunshine, the day started with rain, adding a beautiful touch to the atmosphere. It's something we should appreciate and respect.
This morning, I thought of sharing a delicious pastry recipe that's loved by everyone. The key ingredients for this filling are potatoes and leeks. While this dish is commonly found in the market, there's something special about preparing a very tasty and nutritious version at home. Let's explore how to make it without artificial flavors and what ingredients we need.
Materials Used.
Wheat flour 200g.
Water 100ml.
Coconut Oil 300ml.
Salt as needed.
About 3 boiled and mashed potatoes.
A finely chopped onion.
A few finely chopped leek leaves.
Chopped curry leaves.
About two chopped green chilli pods.
A little chopped garlic.
1 Teaspoon of of curry powder.
1 Teaspoon of of chilli powder.
1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder.
1 Teaspoon of of pepper powder.
Method of making.
Now, before we prepare this, take a big bowl and add wheat flour, salt powder, 3 table spoons of coconut oil and mix it. After that prepare a flour dough by mixing a little water with it.
Next we cover the dough with a piece of cloth for about 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, during the season, we can prepare potato curry for filling here. For that, put a pot on the stove and add about 2 table spoons of oil to it and let it heat. After the coconut oil is heated, add garlic, curry leaves, onions, and green chilies and fry until half.
Next add chilli powder, turmeric powder, pepper powder and salt powder and mix it. Next, add the boiled potatoes and leek leaves to it and mix well. Fry it for a while and remove it from the stove.
Next we take the flour dough and make it into small balls. Then take those small balls one by one and thin them with the help of a roller pin.
Next, cut the thinned dough into a circle with the help of a bottle cap. As in the images below.
Next we put some potato mixture in it and fold it in half. Then it adds a design as needed. As in the following images.
Next, take a cooking pot, add about 200ml of coconut oil and keep it on the stove. After the oil is hot, fry the prepared pastry until golden.
This dish is incredibly tasty and crispy, perfect for breakfast or tea time. It's also a delightful choice to serve to guests during small home celebrations. I hope you'll give it a try as well. With that, I'll bid goodbye for today. Have a wonderful day until we meet again!
