SRI LANKAN STUFFED CAPSICUM RECIPE
Wishing you all a wonderful day, dear friends. I hope you're doing well. I've been quite busy lately, as there's just one day left in the Sinhala year. However, I've brought you another fantastic recipe. This one features a filling made with malu miris, which is similar to bell pepper but known as malu miris in our country. It has a bit of a kick to it. Additionally, it's a vegetable packed with numerous nutrients and vitamins. It's easy to prepare, so let's take a look at the ingredients needed for this dish.
Materials Used.
7 or 8 chili pods.
Boiled and mashed fish.
Wheat flour 100g.
Breadcrumbs 100g.
1 Teaspoon of pepper powder.
1/2 Teaspoon of turmeric powder.
Salt to taste.
Some water.
Coconut oil for frying.
2 boiled mashed potatoes.
A little chopped onion.
2 green chilli pods, chopped
Two pieces of cinnamon.
2 crushed cardamom pods.
2 cloves.
A little lime juice.
Curry leaves.
Method of making.
We have just washed and cleaned the fish chilies and cut them in the middle with the help of a knife. Then use the upper side of the spoon to remove the seed parts as follows.
Next we need to boil the fish chili karaltik. For that, put a pot on the stove and add some water. After the water is heated well, add the chilli pods and remove it very quickly.
Now we need to prepare the filling. Put a pot on the stove and add about 2 tablespoons of coconut oil. After the oil is hot, add garlic, onion, hot pepper, curry leaves, cinnamon, cardamom , cloves. Mix well and fry it for about a minute.
Next we add salt, pepper powder and turmeric powder. Add the boiled and mashed fish to it and mix it well.
Next, we add boiled and mashed potatoes and mix well. Then remove from the stove. After removing it from the heat, add a squeeze of lime juice.
Now we take the fish chili pods and fill the prepared potato curry in the middle of the cut. Then keep it aside.
Next, to make the batter, put the wheat flour in a bowl, add some water to it and make a thick batter.
Next, take the stuffed fish and chilies and first spread it in the batter. Next, spread it in breadcrumbs and keep it aside.
Next we take a pot and put coconut oil in it and keep it on the stove. Once the oil is hot, fry the stuffed fish and chili until golden.
This very delicious fish can be added as an extra when eating rice filled with chilies. The taste will be more delicious. And I think you will also enjoy this with many wonderful aromas. So I will say goodbye for today. Good day to you.
