Tasty "banana piyos" that can be eaten at tea time.
I wish you all a wonderful day. How are you doing? With just a few days remaining until Sri Lankans celebrate the Sinhala Tamil New Year, filled with an abundance of food and sweets, the anticipation is palpable. Today, I'm excited to share with you the recipe for another delectable dish. This sweet treat is not only rich in taste but also packed with nutritional value. Made from ripe bananas, it is famously known as banana piyos. Let's explore the ingredients required to prepare this delightful confection.
Materials Used.
2 well-ripened bananas.
Wheat flour 150g
2 Tablespoons of sugar.
2 Tablespoons of water.
1 Teaspoons of lime juice.
A pinch of salt.
4 crushed cardamom pods.
1/4 1 Teaspoons of baking soda.
Coconut oil for frying.
The cooking process as follows.
Let's prepare now. For that, first remove the top skin of the banana and mash it well. Any kind of ripe banana can be used for this.
Then add sugar and cardamom and mix well.
Now we need to prepare the mixture by adding wheat flour, salt and baking soda to it.
Then add a teaspoon of lime juice to it and if the mixture is too thick, you can add some water to thin the mixture.
Then we take a vessel and add coconut oil to it and put it on the stove and let it heat up. After the oil is hot, take a teaspoon of the mixture and add it to the hot oil. As shown in the pictures below.
Fry everything in this way until golden.
So, this is how you can prepare delicious banana piyos. It's a dish that can be easily made with minimal ingredients and enjoyed with the whole family during evening tea time. This activity is particularly beloved by small children. With the fresh taste of bananas and its delightful aroma, I'm sure you'll enjoy making and savoring this delicious treat. If you decide to give it a try, I bid you farewell for today, hoping to see you again soon. Have a wonderful day!
