Cinematic Shots from Racing Games - Gaming Photography Challenge

Hello and Welcome back to my blog!

This Week's Contest theme by the Gaming Photography Community is Cinematic Shots. For this challenge, I want to share some shots from racing games that I play.

Let's start with the Forza Horizon 4 as it has beautiful graphics and an impressive photo mode.

The game is set in the UK and offers a variety of terrain. It has a city side and expansive countryside, which I like even better.

You can fly around the map in drone mode and see its beauty. It offers hundreds and hundreds of vehicles. I create a lot of chaos among the sheep. Somehow they always run away from these cars. They have such good reflexes. But one day, I will be killing them for sure...lol.

I love to drive buggies and take part in off-road races. They are my go-to races if I want to have fun. The next shot is from one of the Showcase events and in this race you race against dirt bikes. Most of it is scripted as it has a lot of jumps and slow with bikes flying high in front of you. But still, it is one of the most enjoyable races for me. Also, the smoke from the bikes is coloured and they make for some good shots.

Look at this jump! Can you spot the bikers in front of me? They are quite fast but you can win this race and take over the last remaining biker towards the end of the race.

When I am not racing I am just driving through the fields and having fun. I love these casual explorations and testing all the cars on tougher terrain. Asphalt roads are way too easy for these race cars...lol.

I love to drive at night too. I like the darkness in very few games but this one feels great. Racing at night is quite exciting and at times challenging.

I love to play with its photo mode and test its filters. In the next shot, I went for a bit flashy one. The burnout was real on this one. I almost lost control of my car on this turn.

I have a few Lambos too. The one I shared as the banner is the Lamborghini Urus. I looked at the community designs and found this one. I loved the wheels, especially the red circular rim around the tyre.

And did I tell you about my Jeep? Love this one and it has become one of my favorites.

Now, let me take you to another racing game. This one is quite old, almost two decades old but still quite enjoyable for me. I play it quite often and share gameplay videos with various challenges. I am talking about the Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2005).

There are police chases which is one of the best selling points for this game. I have not found a better implementation of police chases in any other NFS games. I had a lot of fun doing random challenges and using Mods to further enhance the gameplay and overall experience.

There are a lot of narrow escapes, high-speed impacts and other cinematics in this one.

I love to perform some jump stunts here while trying to run away from the city police department.

Well, the graphics are no match to modern games like Horizon but the gameplay is fun and still enjoyable.

That is all for this time. Let me know which shot was your favourite and if the graphics matter a lot to you while deciding which game to play. The age-old debate of graphics vs gameplay is settled for me and I will choose gameplay over graphics. And if good gameplay is combined with impressive graphics then it is just a masterpiece game to me.

Thanks for reading...

Until next shot...
