Cinematic shots from theHunter: Call of the Wild
Hello and Welcome back to my blog!
The latest weekly contest's theme, Cinematic Shots by the Gaming Photography community allows me to showcase the beautiful landscapes of theHunter: Call of the Wild.
There are so many stunning shots that an amateur photographer like me would love to capture. The following shots are compiled from multiple reserves during different parts of the day.
All of the reserves have some interesting things which add to the lore of the region, sometimes they are natural formations like weird standing rocks and at other times they could be part of an ancient man-made site.
There are many interesting structures which help hunters assist in nature. Some of them are the hunting structures, the outpost or rest house and watch towers.
Those structures blend with the surroundings well and are unique to those environments. Most of them are high stands, giving a 360-degree concealed view of the place. These are also strategically located in places where animal activity is high.
The open world reserves are vast and stretch for tens of kilometres so walking from one end of the map to the other can take a lot of time. But fortunately, we can buy a DLC vehicle, the ATV which will shorten the journey time but it makes a lot of noise so forget about catching anything when you are riding it.
Lakes are often the hotspots of animal activity and are also my favourite places to capture with the in-game camera.
And how can I forget my beloved companion, Sheru? He stays with me no matter how cold or hot the weather is, whether we are fighting off a raging Buffalo in the plains of Savannah or a deadly crocodile. He helps me in so many ways and is always full of energy.
I should include at least one of the dead animals, after all, it is a hunting game...lol
Look at the horns of this bad boy!
The game has a long day-night cycle and watching the sunsets from high up in the mountains is always mesmerising.
I could go on and on and it will never stop. But I think this is enough to show how beautiful and realistic-looking landscapes are there in the game. Many people often confuse my photographs with real-life landscape pictures so that tells you a lot about the game. For a nature, game and photography lover in me, it is the best game that I played.
Thanks for reading...
Until next hunt...
I got a hunting game and found out it actually really sucks. So it looks like I'm going to have to try a different one for the Nintendo switch! Let's try again! Lol
Even this game was pretty slow at the start, and very boring. But it picked up pace after you get better skills and weapons.
Good luck with the Switch, I never had one. Btw, did you play the latest Legend of Zelda?
Yeah it definitely was a disappointment. Unfortunately tears of the Kingdom tried to do so much extra on top of the exact same map? And then screwing all that up?
Breath of wild is actually my favorite Zelda so far. Tears the kingdom actually is behind the original Zelda.. yep I'd rather play the original rather than that.
Shame...
But it's in the library. Maybe one of these days I'll get bored of everything else and restart it from scratch. Actually have two profiles so I can also open up the game on another profile.
So technically I could start up from where I stopped playing which I had opened up the entire map. Which is pretty handy! That means I can teleport here or there.
But yeah I really need to find one of these hunting games for switch that actually plays decently as the one I got ended up really sucking bad... Sigh...
Ah, damn. If I ever buy a Nintendo Switch, it would just be to play both of those games. The open world seemed quite big to me. I remember how famous Breath of the Wild was back then, shame it didn't level up much from that.
In some ways like rendering? It's far superior but the game play itself just kind of fell flat.
Especially if you have played breath of the wild. The entire control structure and interaction with the game has completely and fundamentally changed. The map is technically the same map but...
It's not bad. But unlike where I'm at the last battle with Gannon on BOTW? I'm barely into the new game and even though it's nice and shiny and all that... It just fell off the playlist. And I paid like 70$? For it?
Like I said just in case one of these days I get really bored I can play this or any of the other titles that I have stacked up.
Actually in that aspect I am really lucky that I have this huge list of games.

Very nice pics. Each time I see your photos of this game I feel like disappearing into it :) This prompt is also interesting. I might have some fun photos lying around. If the prompt if for more than just a day I might check it out :)
Thank you!

Thank you!!
My favorite of all the captures was: "Sheru, on a chilly morning in Medved-Taiga National Park"
That one is one of my favorites too! Thank you for stopping by!
A pleasure 🤗
Your screenshot makes me want to keep looking. It's so real and mesmerizing.

Bruhhhhhhhhh gaming graphics are getting so good now. For a sec there i thought some were real images. Then i saw the vehicle. Im like okay this is a game, maybe?
GRRRRRRR you should have included some gameplay of walking around so that i can enjoy the cinematic greatness.
Reminds me of Red dead redemption 2 gameplay footage.
RDR2 has a lot more content and even better graphics as far as I know but this game's nature depiction is quite unmatched.
Really, the games have come so far in graphics that they look like photorealistic.
What a time to be alive!
Just you wait, AI revolution and Unreal engine 5.
The world is just a simulation and im a sentient waffle.
