Valuable Lessons Of Life LOH#206

Can you share a time when you turned a difficult situation into a valuable lesson.

This is the topic I would love to talk about.

I choose this topic because it reminds me of the experience I had and how I learned from it.

As humans, we make mistakes and fall into difficulties in other to learn from them. I still remember when I resigned from where I was working because I heard that the neighboring company paid well.

Back then, my boss was a very kind man and wasn't the type who shouts or acts rudely to his workers.I enjoyed working for him, but the only problem I had was that I craved for more money than what he was paying me.I felt the money wasn't enough, and I needed to earn more. So I went to him and demanded an increase in my payment.I was told to work for two months diligently before I could get what I was asking for, but I was impatient and desperately in need of an increase.

A friend came to me and told me there was a vacancy at the neighboring company that pays well.I immediately wrote and applied when I received the appointment letter and the amount I would be paid which was truly bigger than what I was earning before.I quickly resigned from where I was working and resumed at my new workplace.

Things went well in the first month, but in the second month I began to regret my actions.I realized that the workload was two times more than the pay and most times we wouldn't be paid on time, which affected me so much, the manager in charge was very rude and seriously punished or penalized anyone who dares to make a mistake. It was a very difficult situation for me when I searched for work in other places and couldn't find one. I also couldn't go back to my former place because I was replaced immediately when I left. I knew I brought the situation upon myself because I was impatient. I learned my lesson at that time that all that glitters is not gold, it is very important to be patient and contented with what we have.

Thanks for reading.

It's very important to make concrete decisions before switching jobs to one to another. I have heard a lot of people's regrets regarding jobs, you are not alone. Humans always want more and want to climb career ladders fast and quickly. I also have a similar experience and now I prefer more about job culture and atmosphere than money/salary...

Thanks for sharing...
