Beyond the Blueprint: Pause and do some reflections.
January is always the first month of a new year and it is that time a lot of people set goals, make new year resolutions and start thinking of ways to make it happen in order to have a fulfilling year in the end. Just like every other person, I usually look forward to the first month of a new year to make new goals and this happens during the last two months of the current year because I believe it is the time to start afresh and do something tangible since I couldn't do a lot for the year.
The truth is that we tend to fall back on the resolutions we make for the new year. This mostly happens in the middle of the first month. This is sometimes a fact too as the majority of people fall behind just because they can't continue again for reasons best known to them. I remember in the year 2022 when I felt bad not achieving some goals, and in the first month of 2023, I made a list of my resolutions but after the second month, everything went down the rails. I couldn't even find the book I wrote my list on and that was one thing that made me forget my resolution but only kept going while doing the little I could and flowing along.
In this regard, it makes me feel sad not being consistent with some of my resolutions while I try to make new ones. I made another resolution this year, this time around, they weren't much. Apart from the ones I made regarding Hive blockchain, I have a few offline goals which I want to achieve like getting my international passport, going out to the beach for the first time and other goals for my personal growth. One important resolution I made is to read the whole Bible for this year which I have started on the first day of the month now and I hope to continue in this as it is the only way to be closer to God through studying the scripture with my Youversion Bible App.
Many times, when we are thinking of the positive side of things, we need to think of the other side in the opposite because each day will not be as good as we want it to be. There may be some unexpected challenges that may happen which could disrupt our goals for the year. What if towards the half of the year, I couldn't meet up with my goal or not getting the desired result I wanted for a specific time? How will I react? Will I give up so soon thinking since it isn't yielding a good result at the half of the year, what's the possibility it will be till the remaining half of the year?
The first thing is to pause, reflect on, do some analysis and evaluation of the situation. One way to do this is not to go hard on myself but to carefully examine the methods I have been using to achieve my goals. This is why it is important to be observant and take note of happenings around you in order to detect quickly what is not working. What approach isn't working? Am I doing it the right way exactly? Is there a miscalculation in my planning? At this point, I would calm myself, think of what is working and not working, and take the time to think thoroughly about the right method to use. That is why having many plans is crucial. If plan A does not work for a period, try plan B and till we try all the letters of the alphabet, one will surely click. So, if I am not getting my desired result, let's switch to the next approach instead of wallowing in self-pity and being involved in a blame game.
How will I react? Another thing to this is seeking guidance from someone who has scaled through the same thing I plan on doing. Perhaps my plan isn't working as expected, the next thing is to not rush myself but to seek help from other people on how to go about it. This is why being silent isn't the best in most cases as there may be people who would be willing to help. There is a lot of help online and people around us to render help. Most people would want to stop once they detect that something isn't working for them and instead of thinking in the other direction, they decide to stop without finding what is the problem.
In a nutshell, I wouldn't beat myself hard because I am not seeing good results halfway through the year, I only need to find other possible approaches to make it work because we cannot rely on only one method. Most importantly, to be resilent and keep persevering. Seed takes time to germinate, ours is to keep nurturing it, tending to it with care and exercise lots of patience.

Reading the whole of the scriptures is a unique resolution and I wish you the grace to reach to the end. Oh yeah, when things aren't going as planned, I don't hesitate to reach out to people I know they are getting hangs on similar goals with me..this strategy has been a life saver in my life adventure.
Nice tactics you have here

You are right. There are people ready to give an helping hand and there are those with similar goals as ours who have gone through the process and make success, ours is just to meet them and ask how they did it.
The Bible is also one I would try my best to read and be satisfied. Thank you, mama 😘
Reading religion book always gives satisfaction and I think it has the power of giving us the feeling of peace. I think you can go with your plan and it's the best for you🙂.
You are right. Religion books guides us and gives us peace too. Thank you 😊
You forgot to add scoring a fiancee for yourself. This is the goal I am mostly interested in. I want to see you achieve this one. Do you have any thought out plans for this one? 🙈
Hehehe. I have that in mind to give love another chance this year due to some bad relationships in the past but I didn't see that as a goal though, it might look like being desperate especially when I'm trying to achieve the goal by all means, I will just allow nature and God take control 🙏
Thanks for being concerned about that for me and I will surely talk about it here once I find one 👌
Having many plans is really crucial. When people have just one plan without any backup plan and they put everything they have into achieving that plan, they can experience success. But, if they unexpectedly fail to achieve their plan, it can be very demoralizing.
If someone choose to set plans and the person set multiple plans, it becomes easier to switch from one to another.
Regardless of it all, I like how you emphasised that we all need to be resilient when working towards something like this. There is truly no victory without resilient and consistent effort.
Thanks so much for joining us in this.
It's not only you, sometimes I also look for the book I wrote my goals and not see them, LoL. That's the peak of unseriousness . Well thank God it's another year, thing ought to take shape. I wish you the best on your quest to finish reading the Bible, it's such a sweet experience, I remember the first time I did it, it was like heaven on earth.
Like you said if you remain determined and tough, you will surely get it done.

First off, I love the pictures you used, Princess. They are pretty nice. When it comes to reading the scriptures, I have been distant. I hope to get closer to my creator this year.
Not beating yourself up for what you have no control over is a nice approach.
...and I do hope the plans you have on getting things ready, going out, and all will work miracle.
Amen. Thank you dear.
