Happiness surely dwells on the current happenings and not the past. This is why we are advised to be happy in the present, the past is gone and we only focus on now and later. Happiness also is something we can have when we have faith in God and what we belief in. When one relies on material possessions or earthly stuff to be happy, they can never be satisfied and will never be happy all the time.
