The main character of this story is Haruki Shiga. A talented but lonely high school student. He loves to read books but doesn't get along with anyone much and always hides his feelings. One day, while going to the library, he suddenly finds a diary called Living with Dying. The diary belonged to his classmate Sakura Yamauchi.

After reading the diary, he learns that Sakura is terminally ill, suffering from pancreatic cancer and has very little time to live. After learning this secret truth, Shiga's life begins to change. Sakura herself asks him to accompany her in the last days of her life.

Although Shiga feels a little uncomfortable at first, a deep relationship develops between them. Sakura was a lively, cheerful and fulfilled girl who did not want her death to be surrounded by pain and sorrow. They go out to eat and travel together, and each moment seems to light a new light in Sakura's life.

At one point, Shigeru develops feelings for Sakura but can never express them. Meanwhile, one day, Sakura dies not from cancer but from an accidental murder. Everyone around her thinks she died from her illness, but for Shigeru it was a terrible emotional shock.

Animation & Music
The animation of the movie is eye-catching. Every scene, especially the moments between Sakura and the boy under the cherry blossoms, are wonderfully portrayed.

There is a great background score, which makes every emotion feel deeper. The songs "Fanfare" and "Himawari" from this movie are absolutely heart-wrenching.

My Thoughts
This movie is not just a story of love or death. It is a story of finding the meaning of life. It teaches us that even though death is inevitable, life can be lived beautifully. Sakura shows us how to make every little moment joyful.

After many days, Sakura's mother gives Shigeru a letter in which Sakura writes that she loves Shigeru and wants to live for him. This letter changes Shigeru's heart. He gradually learns to communicate with people, learns to express his feelings, and begins to understand the importance of life.

Although this movie brought tears to our eyes, we felt a lot of pain, but we all know that Sakura truly enjoyed her life. We should learn from this that no matter how difficult it is, we will make this beautiful life enjoyable. We will try to turn every moment of it into joy.
