LOH Community Contest #169: Between temptations and finances, is it possible to find a balance?

First of all, I want to say thank you for the support and love I have received so far in this very special community and secondly, I know this week's topic is quite serious. Thank you @kerrislravenhill for getting us thinking and meditating on this topic of finances and budgeting for each of us, as a family or just as individual beings.
Now, I tell you, in my house we are a family of only two members: A mom, that's me, and an almost fourteen year old teenager. We are #TeamGaMa (it stands for "Team Gabriel and Mom").
While it's true that we are a small family, it's also true that a teenager eats for two people. He eats for two. His appetite is inexhaustible and voracious. He is always hungry.
I have been unemployed for two months and it has not been easy to cover his expenses. The only thing that has worked for me is that I am eating once a day. It's not a bad idea because I can also lose weight and get rid of those little chubs I've been getting lately. There is a positive side to everything.
For this reason, I can't plan my budget for this first quarter of the year. Added to this, the economy in my country is too unstable, fluctuating and what costs me $20 today, will not cost the same the following week.
However, when I was employed (and I know I will soon find a great job), I would try to plan my budget for fifteen days, until the next paycheck.
It is only once a month that basic utilities are paid, so always the first fortnight is to buy food and toiletries and the second fortnight is to pay for basic and fixed utilities. Generally, we have money left over to go for an ice cream, go for a walk, take a walk for a while.
We, with what little we have, are happy, have fun together, play a lot and talk about his feelings for girls, among other things. This last year, we had to live quite difficult times, with a lot of shortages and that generated anguish, but everything passes and I know that this will pass.
What is my favorite charity and what makes it special?
In this sense, I know a very special person, who is a protectionist, a lover of abandoned animals. She is independent, her help is from the heart and she doesn't like the limelight, she doesn't use social networks very much. And this is because she does not like to echo her work, because she is not only an animal rescuer and protectionist, but she also likes to help those in need. Her name is Lizzett Hauer.
This beautiful lady feeds about ninety cats that are housed in an electricity substation. She goes twice a day and brings healthy food to all the kittens, which she cooks herself; in addition to this, she keeps them clean, flea-free, dewormed and sterilized. After feeding these kittens, she goes to two more places, to carry out the same work. And at her home, she has kittens and dogs that she has picked up from the street; kittens that have been abandoned, run over or are sick. Fortunately, she has a husband and children who are patient with her and loving to the animals. They respect and love her work.
Lizzett, not only is a protectionist, but also, every month, she helps with food, medicine, diapers to the poor. It is she, the one in the picture above, who has purple flannel, in her house, sorting the donations, so that each family, receives the same supplies.
Lizzett doesn't work for any non-profit foundation, but Nevado Mission, Paws and Hands, and other foundations know who she is, they know her, they admire her, they appreciate her and they respect her. That's how she is, with her big smile, with her huge heart, a person like few others, who likes to go unnoticed, because she doesn't like the limelight.
She is such an exceptional woman, that in December I was in bed with bronchitis and she (I don't know at what moment) knocked on my door with a chicken and vegetable soup she had prepared for me. She brought me that delicious soup, fruit and medicine. That is exactly how Lizzett is. I love her infinitely and I am proud to be her friend, because she is also an excellent friend. I am happy to be a part of her affection.

Gracias @kerrislravenhill por ponernos a pensar y a meditar en este tema de las finanzas y el presupuesto de cada una de nosotras, como familia o simplemente como seres individuales.
Ahora, les cuento, en mi casa somos una familia tan solo de dos miembros: Una mamá, que soy yo y un adolescente de casi catorce años. Somos el #TeamGaMa (significa "Equipo Gabriel y Mamá").
Si bien es cierto que somos una familia pequeña, también es cierto que un adolescente come por dos personas. Se alimenta por dos. Su apetito es inagotable y voraz. Siempre tiene hambre.
Yo tengo dos meses desempleada y no ha sido fácil cubrir sus gastos. Lo único que me ha funcionado, es que yo estoy comiendo una vez al día. No es mala idea porque también puedo adelgazar y quitarme esos gorditos que me han salido últimamente. Todo tiene su lado positivo.
Por esta razón, no puedo planificar mi presupuesto para este primer trimestre del año. Aunado a esto, que la economía en mi país es demasiado inestable, fluctuante y lo que hoy me cuesta $20, no va a costar lo mismo la semana siguiente.
Sin embargo, cuando tenía empleo (y sé que pronto encontraré un excelente empleo), yo trataba de planificar mi presupuesto para quince días, hasta el siguiente pago.
Solamente una vez al mes, es que se pagan los servicios básicos, así que siempre la primera quincena, es para comprar comida y artículos de aseo personal y la segunda quincena, es para pagar los servicios básicos y los fijos. Generalmente, nos queda dinero para ir a por un helado, dar una vuelta, caminar un rato.
Nosotros, con lo poco que tenemos, somos felices, nos divertimos juntos, jugamos mucho y hablamos de sus sentimientos hacia las chicas, entre otras cosas. Este último año, nos tocó vivir momentos bastante difíciles, de mucha escasez y eso nos generaba angustia, pero todo pasa y sé que esto va a pasar.
¿Cuál es mi organización benéfica favorita y qué la hace especial?
En este sentido, conozco a una persona muy especial, que es proteccionista, amante de los animalitos abandonados. Ella es independiente, su ayuda es de corazón y no le gusta el protagonismo, usa poco las redes sociales. Y esto es porque no le gusta hacer eco de su labor, pues no solamente es rescatista y proteccionista de animales, sino que además, le gusta ayudar a los más necesitados. Su nombre es Lizzett Hauer.
Esta bella señora alimenta alrededor de noventa gatos que se encuentran en una subestación de electricidad. Va dos veces al día y les lleva comida sana a todos los gatitos, que cocina ella misma; además de esto, los mantiene limpios, libres de pulgas, desparasitados y esterilizados. Después de alimentar a estos gatitos, va a dos lugares más, para llevar a cabo la misma labor. Y en su casa, tiene gatitos y perros que ha recogido en la calle; gatitos que han sido abandonados, atropellados o que están enfermos. Afortunadamente, cuenta con un esposo e hijos que son pacientes con ella y amorosos con los animales. Respetan y aman su labor.
Lizzett, no solamente es proteccionista, sino que además, cada mes, ayuda con alimentos, medicinas, pañales a los pobres. Es ella, la de la imagen de arriba, la que tiene franela morada, en su casa, clasificando las donaciones, para que cada familia, reciba los mismos suministros.
Lizzett no trabaja para ninguna fundación sin fines de lucro, pero Misión Nevado, Manos y Patas, y otras fundaciones, saben quién es, la conocen, la admiran, la aprecian y la respetan. Así es ella, con su gran sonrisa, con su enorme corazón, una persona como pocas, que le gusta ser bajo perfil, porque no le gusta el protagonismo.
Es una mujer tan excepcional, que yo en diciembre estuve en cama con bronquitis y ella (no sé en qué momento), tocó la puerta de mi casa con una sopa de pollo y verduras que había hecho para mí. Me trajo esa deliciosa sopa, frutas y medicamentos. Así es Lizzett. Yo la quiero infinito y me siento orgullosa de ser su amiga, porque también es una excelente amiga. Me siento feliz de formar parte de sus afectos.

I can understand how unstable the economy in your country can hamper your ability to make longer ranged plans. The higher inflation is everywhere making things worse even in my country life is getting harder. I have two sons with good appetites.
Lizzet sounds passionate and with an equally boundless in energy in what she does.

Yes, the economic issue I believe is worldwide. It is not easy, especially when we have children, because we can endure hunger, but the children cannot.

Teenagers eat like two people😁😁😁 that got me, the economy being unstable isn't a good one tho affecting the prices of things every day is terrible, same in my country things keep getting expensive every single day😔

Que hermoso gesto 🥺 es lo más hermoso que contaste aquí. Una parte es la situación del desempleo y como han tenido que sobrellevar los gastos justo para equilibrar la convivencia. Se que encontrará un buen trabajo y recuperará todo lo que tenga planeado hacer para ti y tu hijo.
También me encanto la historia de tu amiga. Se ve que es una persona humilde pero un corazón de diamante 💎 🩵 ayuda a quienes pueda y a los animalito le dan más oportunidades para vivir y estar sano. Que hermosa es esta persona, cuidala mucho porque no hay mucha persona que sea tan amorosa y bondadosa como ella. La admiro 😍💟
Siento que este año será genial amiga, así que por ahí debe venir un gran empleo para ti. Aunque hay personas que son buenas emprendiendo y puede ser más productivo, en lo personal, prefiero mi quince y último, eso me da tranquilidad. Sé que mi mente es corta por eso, pero es lo que por ahora hay 😅. Dios bendiga a tu equipo y lo más importante es que se tienen el uno al otro y pueden pasar momentos felices juntos, al final, es lo que él siempre tendrá de ti.
