Qurator's Mischievous Mondays | Bizarre Festivals
(Edited)
Welcome to Qurator's Mischievous Mondays!
This will be a weekly competition that we will be hosting every Monday. We want to see a little more engagement and fun when it comes to some of our competitions so this will be a simpler and shorter competition. Easy to enter, but maybe not so easy to win. ;) This competition will be similar to the Monday Missions we had a long time ago, but instead of writing posts to enter we will now consider only the comments and answers on this blog as your entry to win.
Why Mischievous?
We all could use a little fun in our lives. We would even say that we deserve it, let loose a little and have a go at making everyone laugh or think a little, even if it is a little over the top or pure silliness. Go all out and let your creative juices flow.

Once upon a time there was a world where very strange festivals were held every year that attracted people from all corners of the planet. These festivals were known for their peculiar traditions and the unique activities they offered to their attendees.
One of the most popular festivals was the Festival of Fantastic Lights, where participants had to wear bright, luminous costumes while dancing under the moonlight. Another notable event was the Festival of Exotic Flavors, where you could try extravagant foods from all over the world.
But perhaps the strangest festival of all was the Festival of Magical Beings, where mythological creatures such as fairies, unicorns and dragons came to life and lived alongside humans for an entire week. This festival was known for its magical shows and competitions between different magical beings.
Thus, in this world full of very strange festivals, fun and fantasy were the daily bread for all those who dared to immerse themselves in these surprising celebrations.
In the year 2060 people no longer talk to each other as in the past, they only transmit their thoughts telepathically, they have helmets that are never removed and are the ones that give permission to enter or not in the minds, nowadays relationships are open and everyone practices polyamory, no one suffers from jealousy or extreme passions of individuality, so having many partners is common but there is a festival that is celebrated on February 14 where tribute is paid to men and women faithful to a partner.
No one can believe that they actually existed, but it is fun to sit and watch documentaries and movies about couples who were faithful to their husbands, it seems so old fashioned and outdated, plus there was a father's day added to this festival, where people congratulated a single man with this title.
Now no one knows who their father is, and those who wish to assume this position can do so, so after February 14 comes the celebration at the father's day festival, where children enjoy having as many fathers as they want, some are bad examples others just want to be called fathers.
There are rumors of a sect where people decide to live in couples, only heterosexuals and talk to each other with strange words and sounds, but they are afraid they live in hiding, they are weirdos.
Alternate Gravity Festival
An event where the laws of physics are reversed, altered, or celebrated in unusual ways! The main concept revolves around the idea of "challenging gravity" and exploring what the world would be like if this invisible force worked differently at unexpected times and places.
Traditions:
The Reverse Awakening: Every morning of the festival, participants wake up with "inverted gravity" in a special area where all objects float temporarily. People must secure their belongings to the ground or use weights to avoid losing them. This tradition symbolizes the freedom to break free from constraints and reimagine reality.
The Light Hour: Once a day, bells ring, and all participants are encouraged to lie on the ground, feeling the "weight" decrease as soft music plays and the surrounding environment gradually seems to defy gravity, creating an almost dreamlike sensory experience.
*Sand Statues: *Instead of traditional sandcastles, participants sculpt statues that balance in impossible ways, using supports and optical tricks to make them appear as though they are defying gravity.
Activities:
Floatation Race: In a special playing field with uneven surfaces and suspended ropes, participants compete to move most efficiently in reduced gravity conditions. Winning requires coordination and agility to navigate obstacles while the body feels lighter.
Suspended Cup Challenge: A contest where people must balance cups full of liquid on trays placed on platforms that tilt slowly, simulating changes in gravity. The skill of keeping the liquid intact is rewarded.
Anti-Gravity Balls Workshop: Visitors learn to make balls that bounce unpredictably, with internal weights simulating gravity variations, creating a fun and challenging game.
The "Impossible Fall": An interactive space where visitors can experience simulated free falls, thanks to elastic cables and projections, giving the sensation of defying gravity without actually falling.
The Zero Gravity Circus: Acrobatic performances where artists use technology and suspended ropes to simulate a zero-gravity environment, creating impossible and beautiful choreography as if they were floating in space.

Far to the west, there live a native tribe. they worship a god, who they call nwothini.
A figure who once threatened the existence of human, reached an agreement to spare humanity, but a particular group will organize a festival, to sacrifice 7 warriors that are virgins and three white hen.
Before being sacrificed, these Virgins, will entertain the diety by doing the impossible.
The festival was named - The blood bath festival, because it reminded the people of the wrath of nwothini, the god who once threatened the existence of humanity, due to the fact that they are messing up nature with their garbage.
The 7 virgins represented the 7 warriors of nwothini, and the 3 hen, represented the three spikes on each of the warrior's neckless, embedded on their chest, and fused with their skin. The spike is a symbol of loyalty, to god - nwothini.
the day for the entertainment came, and the 7 virgins were set to go to the highes mountain, to defeat a dragon. if they fail, another 7 virgins will be instantly produced by the people. If they win, they will dance in the temple of nwothini, until their feet bled.
the bleeding is a symbol that shows that they are willing to sacrifice themselves for the greater good.
after dancing, they will lay down on a sacrificial stone, where their heart will be pulled out of their body, and used to make sushi for the people, while their blood will be congealed and served.
the people will dance, as they get served the remains of the warriors.
The hen will be tied to a basket, and carried round the village by the villange kings wife, accompanied by her daughters, without clothes or even shoes to protect their feet.
After that, the hen will be buried alive and a tree, planted over where they are burried.
Thank you for reading.
A festival of food made with unusual materials such as toxic waste and biodegradable materials, in which the ability to reuse what is usually discarded will be rewarded.
In this festival, the presentation of the dishes will also be important, so sculptures made with the same materials used for cooking will be valued, so everything in each stand must be something “edible”.
The awards will be in accordance with the presentation of the participants, who will have to make a marketing campaign that seeks to convince the jury to buy their product.
