Qurator's Mischievous Mondays | No Toothbrush

Welcome to Qurator's Mischievous Mondays!

This will be a weekly competition that we will be hosting every Monday. We want to see a little more engagement and fun when it comes to some of our competitions so this will be a simpler and shorter competition. Easy to enter, but maybe not so easy to win. ;) This competition will be similar to the Monday Missions we had a long time ago, but instead of writing posts to enter we will now consider only the comments and answers on this blog as your entry to win.

Why Mischievous?

We all could use a little fun in our lives. We would even say that we deserve it, let loose a little and have a go at making everyone laugh or think a little, even if it is a little over the top or pure silliness. Go all out and let your creative juices flow.

This week's theme : No Toothbrush

Imagine the common toothbrush was never invented, nor toothpaste. What will you use to keep your teeth clean and how will you use it?

wuaoo thank you very much, definitely the first place stood out, congratulations to all, thank you @qurator

To answer the question of the week, I think without toothbrush and toothpaste teeth would fall out fast, and life would be short because cavities would make us sick, it would be like going back to the past.

I would use a loofah sponge to clean them in my country the peasants use this material to clean the dishes as a sponge and also to clean the part of our buttocks 🤭🤣 so it would serve to clean the upper part of the mouth before the lower part.

I leave you a video so you know what I'm talking about.

I happened to come across this contest and when I saw the question for the week, I got so excited to share what I have learned from my grandparents. During their time, they used the young and tender stems of a guava tree by cutting 2 1/2 - 3 inches in length and splitting or breaking lengthwise one of its ends that created something similar to a broom, and rubbed them on their teeth. Then, the leaves were crushed then mixed with boiling water and when it has slightly cooled down, used it as a mouthwash. I think guava has certain properties that are helpful for dental hygiene.

There's things I expect to read today; death, murder, horror, fraud, you know, typical stuff. Guava infused, tree stem toothbrushes, however, I didn't see that coming.

Thank you.

(Edited)

I'd grab a teethbrush. I've always had enough time to brush them all anyway.

I'll probably limit too much sugary and acidic intake, daily gargle of warm water, and if dental floss is available that'll do as well 😁

Hi,

Without the existence of a toothbrush and toothpaste, it is possible that he would opt for small pieces of twig to remove food debris from his mouth.

Being near the sea, he may have rinsed his mouth with seawater, I suspect that the high amount of salt helps to reduce the bacteria that cause dental plaque.

I have always heard that tooth enamel is damaged by having an acidic pH, so some rinsing with baking soda solution.

And if the tartar builds up, brute force and abrade it with a slightly rough, rough cloth.

Regards.

After a long discussion, a group of scientists published an article in the magazine INATURE stating that the best way to do oral hygiene is through kiss!

So, my friends, kissing is allowed from now on!
