Welcome to Qurator's Mischievous Mondays!

This will be a weekly competition that we will be hosting every Monday. We want to see a little more engagement and fun when it comes to some of our competitions so this will be a simpler and shorter competition. Easy to enter, but maybe not so easy to win. ;) This competition will be similar to the Monday Missions we had a long time ago, but instead of writing posts to enter we will now consider only the comments and answers on this blog as your entry to win.

Why Mischievous?

We all could use a little fun in our lives. We would even say that we deserve it, let loose a little and have a go at making everyone laugh or think a little, even if it is a little over the top or pure silliness. Go all out and let your creative juices flow.

This week's theme : The Elf's Midnight Mischief

Every night leading up to Christmas, strange and playful things start happening around the house. Discover the secrets of the mischievous elf behind it all. What are his motives, and what surprises does he have in store each night?

Thanks for all my friend!

Man, I couldn't resist, he mentioned a mystery box, I already thought something stupid, but rational. The thought was dark, but realistic, something unknown has arrived, be suspicious.

As Christmas approaches, the house seems to come alive on its own. That so-called Christmas Magic, you know? Every night, something new and unexpected happens: a pile of cookies vanishes, the ornaments on the tree shift places, and a sweet, mysterious aroma fills the air. They say it’s the work of the mischievous elf, but I can’t help feeling there’s something older and far more magical behind it.

As a pagan, I recognize the playful energy of Yule nights, when the veils between worlds are at their thinnest, and mischievous spirits come to remind us to celebrate life with lightness and joy.

Could they be sending a message? Maybe they’re calling us to honor ancient traditions—when we gathered around the fire, shared stories, and left offerings of treats for the spirits of nature. Or perhaps they’re simply celebrating the magic of winter nights, where darkness envelops but also transforms.

I don’t have all the answers—oh, how I wish I did—but I embrace the challenge of uncovering these mysteries. Each morning, I look around with keen eyes and an open heart, eagerly awaiting the elf’s next surprise... or perhaps it’s the spirit of Yule? Whatever it may be, their mischief brings a unique light to these long, frosty nights, reminding me that winter is also a time for laughter and renewal. The true spirit of Christmas!

It was right on the 24th in the evening, when the elf let himself be seen by everyone during the pre-Christmas dinner, to give them a letter.
It was from Margaret, the mother, asking them not to stop believing in the magic of Christmas.
Since then, every December they followed the ritual they had learned with her, and next to Santa's cookies, they left another one so that mom would also share with them these dates.

My family did not believe that there were beings different from humans, for them the elves were inventions of people and nothing real, but one day before Christmas when everyone was trying their outfits to celebrate among families and friends the good night, Grandma and Dad lost their dentures, they did not know what to do, they began to go crazy looking for their false teeth and with one hand covering their mouths shouted everywhere who had hidden their teeth.

Annoyed and tired of looking under the furniture, behind the refrigerator, they even looked inside the Christmas tree, but they got nothing, and the time of the social gathering was approaching, which made them even more desperate. They thought it was a bad joke, but as the hours passed and the whole family joined in the search for those dentures, both realized that no one had taken them for a joke.

From afar the Elf Angel saw them, who laughed at their prank, he laughed when he saw them angry and looking everywhere. The grandmother and the father of the family had resigned themselves to not finding him lying on the sofa, with a sad face they expressed that they would not be present at Christmas dinner, since they would not be able to laugh or talk, as soon as the Elf heard that, he began to feel sad for them too, so he decided to give them back their teeth and put them inside his shoes, while he kept them he kept laughing thinking that in the end, his own teeth would bite their feet. 😁.

The Elf's Midnight Mischief

As the Christmas is already near, different kinds of foods and snacks are well cooked at the kitchen. This is always what happened in our house. Last christmas, when me and my family decided to take a visit and spend our Christmas eves in our Grandparents house, there every 10 oclock in the christmas eve, a lot of noises about kitchen utensils can be heard. Well, I don't what my Grandparents cooked for the first time. They keep laughing and have fun together with my Parents while doing something, while I also keeping myself busy by playing those toys.

I heard a sound like chopping, scrubbing, tingling of utensils, mixing. I want to ask them, whats cooking but better not to ask. I want to guess it with all by myself, well it looks like a great challenge for me and part of my childhood game. It takes a few hours of chief sounding activities and I kept myself hearing those voice...

Ahhh Now I get it what they cook, my Favorite food and snacks, Sphagetti and Puto.

And gues what is my secret of guessing it? My powerful since of smell.☺

My house was built where there was once a small elven village. There is an old belief in my family that our home was built on the grave of a bard elf. Due to the magic of Christmas, his soul can materialize on Christmas Eve. His existence is imperceptible to human eyes, but he is able to touch items and objects around the house. Every Christmas Eve, he walks around the house and tries to organize Christmas in his own way. We organize the Christmas items in a certain way, but he always moves everything around as he pleases. It is a scary and comical moment. We arrange things in one way, but when we leave and return, everything is different, but organized. No one knows what really happened to his life in the past, but it is noticeable that his soul is trapped in the magic of Christmas. He tries to celebrate every year in his own way by getting angry and disrupting the decorations of the residents of the home. Is there any way to give his soul peace? We await some earthly message to help he and have a more peaceful Christmas.
