Qurator's Mischievous Mondays | The Last Smell in the World
Welcome to Qurator's Mischievous Mondays!
This will be a weekly competition that we will be hosting every Monday. We want to see a little more engagement and fun when it comes to some of our competitions so this will be a simpler and shorter competition. Easy to enter, but maybe not so easy to win. ;) This competition will be similar to the Monday Missions we had a long time ago, but instead of writing posts to enter we will now consider only the comments and answers on this blog as your entry to win.
Why Mischievous?
We all could use a little fun in our lives. We would even say that we deserve it, let loose a little and have a go at making everyone laugh or think a little, even if it is a little over the top or pure silliness. Go all out and let your creative juices flow.

I'm convinced that either coffee or happiness will be the death of me. The former always induces the latter.
Yes, coffee makes me really happy, especially the aroma of freshly brewed coffee in the morning. If the alarm fails to wake me up, I trust that coffee aroma to do the job. I wouldn't mind being able to only smell that coffee aroma the rest if my life. 😅
Whenever I go to work, I walk past 2 'chicken roast ovens' like these in the picture below. Every time, I am really inhaling the air from the chicken getting roasted, I love it so much.
Guess I wouldn't mind smelling that the rest of my life!
I am smelling it right now, just by watching your gif 😁
🤣
This is a unique topic...I'll try to participate 😄
As a born Catholic, I would say I fell in love with the smell of incense right from my childhood. The smell of this aromatic biotic material normally entices me a lot and contributed to my eagerness to attend the Holy Mass always. The smell of Incence is never satisfactory to me because the more I perceive it, the more I want it.
So if I am to wake up and smell just a single thing for the rest of my life, I would choose Incense. Incense will be my last smell 😊

It would definitely be the fragrance that emanates from my wife's skin. I'm not talking about any cream, perfume, or soap. My favorite scent is undoubtedly my wife's fragrance. I think I wouldn't mind smelling that for the rest of my life. It may be because I'm already used to it, but when I spend a long time away from her, the first thing I do is hug her and sniff her like a puppy.
Like a normal person, I enjoy smelling various things, and besides that fragrance, I also like the smell of the earth when it rains and the smell of a puppy's fur. But definitely, my favorite scent is the perfect combination of my wife's skin aroma along with her hair.
I could breathe that scent for my whole life, and I hope it can be the last thing I perceive when I inhale for the last time.
😀
LET'S CREATE A COOL STORY
The year is 2045, the Coronavirus has evolved and the entire population of the world has been affected by it. When a human being turns 20 years old, they lose their sense of smell, there is no way to recover it naturally. The world's scientists, together with global organizations, have invested billions to solve this problem, however, they have not found a way to give people their sense of smell back. To minimize the problem, they developed an alternative method, a neural implant where people can choose to smell something specific for the rest of their lives.
I turned 20 and my day to choose has arrived.
The smell I want to smell until the last day of my life is the smell of the sea air, that pleasant, humid aroma with a slight sea breeze. When I talk about sea air, I'm talking about the "smell of the sea".
Being able to smell the sea air makes me travel through my memories, i have a special connection with the sea, because my childhood, adolescence and several weekends in my adult life are linked to beaches. It is something that is rooted in my soul, when I am close to the sea, I feel a feeling of tranquility, peace of mind and a personal desire to be in that place. Feeling this aroma every day is the same as being at sea, even far away from it.
There are several smells that I like, like freshly brewed coffee but there is only one that melts me and makes me feel happy and content and that is chocolate, this is an exquisite smell, as if it were a delicacy of the gods and I am sure that millions of people think the same.
The sense of smell is an essential part of our lives. It has a significant impact on our perceptions of taste, vision, feeling, and sound. For instance, when we smell food, it triggers our taste buds. Walking through a garden filled with flowers, we can appreciate their beauty, and the scent of fruits can be enticing.
Smell is intertwined with other senses such as taste, vision, sound, and touch, and it enhances our experiences.
The first rain of the season is a heavenly experience, particularly in India after a hot, dry summer. The raindrops fall on the parched earth, creating a beautiful rhythm that awaken all of my senses. I feel hungry, and thirsty, and enjoy the beauty of nature. I can hear and taste the raindrops, and feel their refreshing touch. However, the most significant impact is the earthy smell that fills the air, which brings me to heaven.
