Welcome to Qurator's Mischievous Mondays!

This will be a weekly competition that we will be hosting every Monday. We want to see a little more engagement and fun when it comes to some of our competitions so this will be a simpler and shorter competition. Easy to enter, but maybe not so easy to win. ;) This competition will be similar to the Monday Missions we had a long time ago, but instead of writing posts to enter we will now consider only the comments and answers on this blog as your entry to win.

Why Mischievous?

We all could use a little fun in our lives. We would even say that we deserve it, let loose a little and have a go at making everyone laugh or think a little, even if it is a little over the top or pure silliness. Go all out and let your creative juices flow.

This week's theme : The Scent Collector

A person who can capture and store scents. What's the most precious scent in your collection?

They say the most beautiful scents are found in nature, and why not? Nothing compares to the delightful smell of a freshly bloomed flower, the scent of rain touching the ground, or even the aroma of fresh air in a forest at night.

The collector of scents dismisses the smells of the most expensive fragrances, the ones people flaunt at grand parties. That? That just tries to reproduce the scent of nature, which we know is where our tastes are drawn to. It’s good, but not quite like nature.

The smell of food being prepared. Hmm, that sounds delicious!

Yet, a collector of scents would set aside all these aromas, whether it’s the pure scent of nature, the smell of those small valuable glass bottles, or even the lovely aroma of a meal being prepared, for the warmth of their children.

The smell of home is so good, the smell of those who love us, even better! The scent of children waking up, the neck of a wife, the smell of coffee made with love. The collector of scents enjoys the other fragrances scattered around, but nothing compares to the aroma of love.

I love this week's topic! As a scent collector, I find the idea of capturing and storing different fragrances fascinating. The most precious in my collection is the roses from my grandmother's garden, it always transports me to happy moments of my childhood. This product is perfect for all aroma lovers. I totally recommend it!

My story.

In a forgotten corner of the city, where aromas dance in the air like whispers of the past, lives Elías, the aroma collector. His small laboratory, filled with glass jars and bottled essences, is a true sanctuary for the senses. Each aroma you capture is a story, a memory, a moment frozen in time.

The most precious of its collection is, without a doubt, the aroma of the first kiss. It is not a particular scent, but a subtle blend of fragrances: the soft perfume of a wildflower, the freshness of morning dew and a touch of vanilla that evokes sweet shared moments. This aroma, as unique as love itself, was found in a park during a warm evening. Approaching two young men lost in their own world, Elías inhaled deeply, capturing every nuance of that ephemeral connection.

Since then, every time he opens the bottle, he relives the warmth of that moment. And although the bottles can be filled with new aromas, that of the first kiss will always occupy a special place in your heart, reminding you of the magic found in everyday life.

The most treasured scent in my collection is a delicate blend of jasmine, rose and vanilla. It evokes memories of a beautiful garden in my childhood home, I remember the warmth and sweetness that is incredibly relaxing and comforting.

That scent holds a special place in my heart as it reminds me of the precious moments I spent with my parents and gives me a sense of peace and happiness every time I encounter it.

That sounds like the perfume movie, I have realized that people have a unique typical smell characteristic of the person, well you have to relate a lot with that person to be able to perceive it, I don't know how to describe it, it is a smell that I have not smelled anywhere else, it is natural to that person, and it is very pleasant for me.
If you ask me what it is, I wouldn't know, but it's like a synthetic scent, and it's not a cologne, I'd like to capture it.
greetings

Scents are unique characteristics associated with the existence of a certain item or living being. Just as humans have an identity as a way of representing their existence, scents wander through the air, enhancing their presence and highlighting their existence in that environment. Collecting aromas is a family hobby, something that has been passed down from generation to generation. The rarest fragrances are those forgotten over the years, the aroma of fruits that no longer exist, the smell of animals that have become extinct, the fragrance of a loved one who has passed away, and finally the odor of substances that humanity would like to forget. My collection is family-owned; each generation tries to add as many scents as possible from their era. It is hard work, capturing a little of everything that exists requires time and dedication. Despite having a gigantic collection, there is one scent that stands out among the others, "the scent of longing", something that invades our soul, mind and heart, makes our mind travel through eras and takes us to parallel moments in life, our mind plays tricks on us, memories of our youth and everything we lived pass like a flash in our minds, makes our eyes water and at the same time comforts our heart, being able to remember our entire existence is an scent of consolation.

Most of the time when a smell reminds us of something it is because it is pleasant, nobody wants to remember ugly smells 🤪.

If I could collect smells it would be the smell of my pet, I love the way my dog smells, although for others it may be unpleasant, but I only like the smell of my pet not the smell of other dogs. I would also like to collect the smell of freshly brewed coffee, the smell of a newborn baby, and the smell of the sea, they are smells that bring me emotions of love, pleasure, tenderness and relaxation.😉

A collector of aromas would surely have in his cupboard several bottles with those scents that remind him of his happy moments, to somehow relive them by just sniffing a little of each bottle.

His favorite food, the smell of the grass after a soccer game, the rain that falls in the backyard of a childhood home, the aroma of the place where he had his first kiss.

But among them all, I think one that will inevitably be his favorite, is the smell of his mother, but not the perfume she used, but that particular body odor with which babies recognize their mother.
