ARTWORK CONTEST – 12 HBD in rewards

Hey, thanks for checking in!

I am calling upon your creative skills to help me design my first ink work There will be at least 3 prices available totalling 12 HBD.

Contest - rules
• Draw/design a “Sunrise” which could be used for a tattoo design.
• Create a post with your submission tagging @rainbowdash4l
• Explain what and why you created what you did (for example the use of colours if any)
• Suggest a placement for the artwork
• Contest duration: 10 days – latest reviewed submission at 23th November.
• Minimum of 12 HBD in rewards:

  • 1st price 7 SWAP.HBD (5 HBD from me + 2 HBD from @bitcoinman
    2th place 3 SWAP.HBD
    3th Place 2 SWAP.HBD
    Any other design that makes it to my mood board will also be rewarded with 1 SWAP.HBD)
    • There need to be atleast 5 serious participants in order for this contest to be valid.

• No offensive artwork (for example; Black Sun, Suns of God or Japanese Rising Sun)
• Like & reblog this post – so we can get visibility and the best artwork possible.

How will I use the winning designs?
I can’t promise the winning design will be 1:1 placed on my body. But I can promise that it will be an essential part of my mood board.
If I decide that to use the artwork 1:1 I will be providing additional rewards later on.
I will publish a full report on both my mood board as well as the end result.

Why this contest?
I have been through some difficult periods in my life and will be facing new difficulties early 2025. I am looking to symbolize something that means a lot to me and I hope that it can provide me strength and support when things get rough.
I am very much a perfectionist – so although I was certain that I wanted a tattoo, it withhold me that it would last forever. In my mind I needed to find something that I would still love when I would be 80 year old.
2 weeks ago I realized what I would could use to symbolize my feelings – a sunrise . After connecting with some friends that work as/with tattoo artist I got send back home as I only had the topic but didn’t created a mood board yet. As a perfectionist I am simply struggling to get designs for my mood board.

• Sunrise symbolizes for me:

  • New beginnings: despite how difficult an period in life can be , this can be threated as a separated event. Tomorrow is a new day.

  • My wife supporting me during my rock bottom – using this song to walk down the aisle when we got married really attached some meaning to this song.

• Family man! Married and 2 younger kids (2 F)
• Marathon runner (training early mornings! Love seeing the sunrise in my city).
• Initial thoughts on tattoo placement – forearm (inside) => but open for other places.
• First tattoo.

is it ok to use the aid of AI to generate an idea?

if not, i'll create it from scratch...
I'd rather go for a vector image, than raster...
but i'm curious to try both :)

Not as if I would like to submit any of these examples, or if I would even like to participate in this contest, but I am curious why do you consider these examples offensive artwork?

Hey! Good question:

  • black sun / sonnenrad = nazi symbol
  • suns of god = wp gang prison tattoo
  • japanse rising sun - not offensive for me , but controversial in Korea.

I mostly want to avoid offending anyone and have positive associations with the art
