Thinking about flowers relatively leads you to want to do many things when it comes to being creative, fabrics are a special material to create and imitate many shapes of them, so I could hardly come up with a concrete idea of ​​how I wanted to start and carry out my project, especially since it was something so small to beautify a little doll, which coincidentally and at a good time arrived home as a gift for my daughter a few days ago, however I focus on one of my many favorite flowers, to create a beautiful spring dress inspired by a bright and beautiful flower like the sunflower.

This sunflower dress was a project that, while I was creating it, it was inevitable not to bring out my inner child and remember my childhood, when I played and created dresses for my dolls with my grandmother, and I bet that everything Whoever dares to participate, the same thing will happen to him ; I think that's where my love for sewing was born. We definitely do not know the value of moments until they become memories, while I was making it I was moved by every detail and I felt that peace of mind that we have as children, moments that we forget due to the stress of everyday life, but fortunately there is always something or someone who helps us remember, like my beautiful needleworkmonday community does today. So I would like to show you how to make this dress for this flirty little doll.

(PROCEDIMIENTO)

Paso 01

Step 01

I started by taking measurements from the length of the waist to the feet of the doll, then I took a yellow background fabric and folded it in half forming a square, then take one corner towards the other and form the triangle. We place the measurements from end to end and cut a semicircular piece. Then I cut slightly long strips of beige, gold and yellow, I am going to shorten one of the edges into pointed sunflower petals and I seal the ends of all these strips by burning them with a lighter. I take a thread and needle and make a basted seam to gather them.

I proceed to sew all these pieces on the previous part starting with the thickest strip from the bottom to the top and maintaining the pleats. I take my artificial flower, we open and sew in the area of My waist would be the wide and long skirt of the dress.

Now I take a small piece of black fabric and shape it into a top, I sew this piece to the top of the skirt and place a magic closure at the back, passing it at once the seam to close both ends of the skirt. I place a crossed strap on the neck, sequins and small decorative fabric flowers with golden pearls

As accessories I made a pretty white sunflower for the hair and an umbrella obtained from a triangle of fabric with the base of a copper hook.

Well they say that remembering is living, it makes us happy, and I was happy telling my husband, my daughter and you my memories, I was happy doing this project, and it makes me even happier to be able to show you this nice result.
