A Start or Break? : My Take on Classes or Vacation on June
There's definitely a lot of changes that happened as I progressed in my life, and one of these is the change in the start of the school year. I can still recall how I was both nervous and excited at the start of the month of June. Way back in my elementary years, I was really excited because I'm really looking forward to using my new school supplies. On the other hand, I'm nervous because I knew there would be preliminary tests that we needed to answer during the first days of our class. I've always wondered why our teachers do that—I mean, it's just the first week of our school year, so why start it with those mind-boggling tests?
Later on, I somehow realized that those were done to test our knowledge on their subject matter. So whew, I guess our teachers didn't intentionally tortured our brains during those first weeks. I really had a lot of memorable memories in the month of June, and most of them involved the start of the school year—so much from both of my elementary and early high school years. So to answer one of this month's Hive PH questions:
Andaming pabago bago ng DepEd sa schoolyear. Kung may option kang pumili, Ano ang mas gugustuhin mo: Bakasyon ng June o May pasok ng June?
I'll definitely go for may pasok ng June. Why so? Well, here are my reasons why, and the first is...
Vacation on Rainy Season Isn't Fun at All
I'm not fond of rain or cold weather, so I don't really enjoy vacation during the rainy season. For me, my vacation time way back then was much more memorable because it was spent during the summer. I felt livelier during the summer, so I'll definitely like my vacation during the months of April or May because the weather really jives with my inner lively vibes. June is obviously a rainy month, so most of the time I'm stuck in our home doing my indoor hobbies and house chores. Being stuck there doesn't really suit me because, even though I'm an introverted person, I wanted to go out and see people—not exactly to interact with them but just to watch them. I'm more into observing than interacting, so I'll definitely miss people watching if I'm stuck inside our home.
A Rainy Month is a Good Start of the School Year
I don't know, but if I'm to choose whether it's a vacation in June or the start of school in June, of 'course I'll choose the latter. Like I said, I don't really like a vacation in June, so the question now is: why start the school year in June? Well, June is kinda a gloomy month for me, so it's ideal to start a new school year of torment and ordeals, ahahaha just joking. June is just the first month of the rainy season, and usually the rain during that month isn't that heavy compared to the next months, so it's a very favorable start to the school year without much coldness or heat. I really experienced getting stuck in the flooded room—same with the feeling of getting stuck in an overly hot classroom; it's really not a nice experience.
For All Sentimental Reasons
Like I've said, I had a lot of memories—a potpourri of both the bad and good ones. The school years that started in June really left a mark on my memory, so it's definitely those years that I've enjoyed my life most. I don't know if it's related to the start of the school year or not, but my younger years spent studying were really unforgettable compared to the most recent ones I have. Those bashful moments during the first day of school were something I wanted to somehow forget and recall again and again. The memories of meeting new people in the first week of June—may it be a future friend or enemy—did also leave a profound mark. June is definitely a month where I truly felt the start of the school year vibe. It's something that's unconsciously engraved in me, and I somehow knew that no matter how far the start of the school year's first month will be, June will be the most unforgettable start of the school year for me.
What's the month of June for you? Is it the start of your school year ? Or would you like to spend your vacation in it? Feel free to share your opinion in the comments. Well, that's all for now, Hivers! I hope this month of June will end good for all of us! Thanks for being with me 'til the end and see you all in my next blog!

Totoo, parehong may benepisyo ang pag-aaral at pag-relax, depende sa sitwasyon. Dapat natin magamit ang mga ito sa ating benepisyo, good luck @ridgette

Thank you very much @mcgi.cares, I really appreciate it po (ꈍᴗꈍ).
Just don't be stressed of the mind-boggling test Ma'am @ridgette 😊 It is the teachers' way of knowing the prior knowledge about the lesson so that he or she can assist properly the needs of the students.
Yes maam, I was really terrified way back my elementary years when I encounter those tests... you know alipin ng grado ako nuon kaya I'm really afraid na magfail sa mga tests na yun—only to realize years later that those tests weren't recorded. Like you've said they're just given to test the students' prior knowledge hahaha.
At the same time same lang naman sila kapag mainit ang panahon, mahirap din pumasok kapag mainit at yung uniform di comfortable.
That's why I don't really like rain kasi parang mabigat sa feeling ko pag umuulan, kaya hindi ko talaga na eenjoy yung vacation during June... but I don't have a choice now kasi matagal talaga nagstastart yung school year namin kaya matagal ring natatapos...
Keep up the good work. 👏🎵
