Fiction: Ambition (Ambición) [EN/ES]

Lory was a successful CORPTEC executive, her beauty plus her intelligence had brought her to a place coveted by many. She had worked her way up the ladder to assistant manager. She had as her life motto, 'The end justifies the means', those words had made her a woman determined to get what she wanted, no matter what or who.

"Lory, here are the reports you asked for." The secretary moved nimbly moving the papers from side to side.

"Thank you, I'll take them right away to the manager." He looked at the tired woman, "That's all Magaly, you can continue with your work."

"But, Lory, will you tell the manager I wrote those reports? I was up all night without sleep to finish them. It was a titanic task." Magaly's brown eyes fixed on the imposing woman.

"Don't worry, the manager will know and you'll get your reward." A cynical smile in disguise, was evident on the cinnamon-colored face and pearly teeth.

Magaly painted a big smile and dismissed Lory who turned and disappeared behind the doors of the large office. The manager looked at the statuesque woman and with a sordid look, beckoned her closer.

"Hello, sweetheart, I've been looking forward to seeing you." The manager ran his hand over his prominent bald head.

"Hello honey, I wanted to see you too, haha." A mischievous chuckle was coming from Lory's beautiful symmetrical face. "Look, Rudolph, I got the reports you asked for, it took me all night to do them, I'm tired." Some pouting accompanied the woman's feigned listlessness.

"My love, besides being sexy, you are very efficient, this deserves a prize." The plump man stood roughly and directed his thick disproportionate lips towards Lory's mouth.

"Honey, honey, wait a minute, you've got me crazy for you, haha." Behind her flirtatious expression, she restrained the urge to hit Rudolph. "Remember you were going to tell me about your plan to embezzle the company."

"Sure, love, look, these reports need to be presented to the chairman of the partnership board and signed by him without consulting what they contain, inside the reports is an authorization to withdraw $200 million." Rudolf's black eyes rested on Lory's contoured body. "There you come in, my precious beauty. Lory began to turn the pages quickly and stopped at the order. "Give me your signature here. Sorry for making me so confident, but you're so sexy." The beautiful hands passed over the face of the astonished man, who signed without realizing it. At that moment, a voice on the phone brought the man back to reality.

Out of the kitchen came Rudolph eating a chicken thigh, fat dripping down his mouth. He raised an arm and made a cordial gesture. The three of them talked for a while and gradually broke the ice and gained confidence. Magaly was happy because she had the impression that something important would happen in her life that night.

The evening passed smoothly, Lory turned to Magaly. "I hope my dinner was delicious." She winked at the girl, who nodded happily. "Well, a toast to great successes and the millions soon to come."

"Millions?" asked Magaly puzzled.

Lory explained everything in detail to the girl. Magaly's brown eyes widened to the maximum of their sockets. "Well then, precious, you don't plan to stay a mere employee all your life, wasting your youth for a paltry salary, do you?"

"But the stakes are high, Lory?"

Lory started laughing and Rudolf too until he started sneezing non-stop and clutched his neck desperately. The chubby man was falling lifelessly. "Magaly, there is no turning back, you are my accomplice and now we have to elope from this country. We'll be millionaires without that stinking man. Haha."

Lory took Magaly by the hand and they left the apartment. The two women waited until dawn and went to the bank to move the funds to Magaly's account, then they fled to the airport, bought the plane tickets, and ran to the boarding gate.

Magaly got through first, but Lory was stopped, the metal detector reported a gun in the suitcase and she was detained. Magaly boarded the plane and from the door she waved her hand in farewell, already in the air and heading to a tropical country, Magaly remembered how she put the gun in Lory's suitcase, while she laughed out loud. The stewardess asked, "Are you feeling all right, miss?"

Lory era una exitosa ejecutiva de CORPTEC, su belleza más su inteligencia la habían llevado hasta un lugar codiciado por muchos. Ella logró escalar hasta ser la asistente del gerente. Tenía como lema de vida, "El fin justifica los medios", esas palabras la habían convertido en una mujer decidida a obtener lo que quería, sin importar qué o quién.

«Lory, aquí están los informes que pediste». La secretaria se movía ágilmente moviendo los papeles de lado a lado.

«Gracias, se los llevaré de inmediato al gerente». Miraba a la fatigada mujer, «Eso es todo, Magaly, puedes volver a tu lugar».

«Pero, Lory, ¿le dirás al gerente que yo escribí esos informes? Estuve toda la noche sin poder dormir para terminarlos. Fue una tarea titánica». Los ojos castaños de Magaly se fijaron en la imponente mujer.

«No te preocupes, el gerente lo sabrá y tendrás tu recompensa». Una sonrisa cínica disfrazada, se hacía notar en el rostro color canela y dientes perlados.

Magaly pintaba una gran sonrisa y despedía a Lory quien daba media vuelta y desaparecía tras las puertas de la gran oficina. El gerente miraba a la escultural mujer y con una mirada sórdida, le hacía señas que se acercara.

«Hola, amorcito, tenía muchas ganas de verte». El gerente pasaba su mano por su prominente calva.

«Hola, cariño, también ansiaba verte, jaja». Una risa pícara se desprendía del bello rostro simétrico de Lory. «Mira, Rudolf, tengo los informes que me pediste, me tomó toda la noche hacerlos, estoy cansadita». Unos pucheros acompañaban el desgano fingido de la mujer.

«Mi amor, además de sexy, eres muy eficiente, esto merece un premio». El hombre regordete se levantaba toscamente y dirigía sus gruesos labios desproporcionados hacia la boca Lory.

«Cariño, cariño, espera un momento, me tienes loca por ti, jaja». Detrás de su semblante pícaro contenía las ganas de darle un puñetazo a Rudolf. «Recuerdas que me ibas a contar sobre tu plan para desfalcar a la empresa».

«Claro, amor, mira estos informes hay que presentarlos al presidente de la junta de socios y que los firme sin consultar lo que contienen, dentro de los informes hay una autorización para retirar 200 millones de dólares». Los ojos negros de Rudolf se posaban sobre el cuerpo contorneado de Lory. «Ahí mi preciada belleza entras tú. Para ti será muy fácil distraerlo con tus encantos, luego de eso regresas y tendríamos dos días para salir del país con los millones de dólares en nuestros bolsillos».

«Cariño, que inteligente eres, pero si mueves esos fondos a tu cuenta se darán cuenta de inmediato. No crees que debas hacerlo a una cuenta diferente, así no levantaras sospechas». Lory pasaba sus dedos finos por el cuello de Rudolf.

«Amor, pero, ¿A cuál cuenta sería?».

«No te preocupes, cariño, déjamelo todo a mí». Lory le daba un beso apasionado a Rudolf quien desfallecía de pasión.

Al día siguiente, Lory buscaba a Magaly. «Hola, Magaly, que bonita estás. Te informo que el gerente quedó encantado con tu trabajo, muy bien hecho» Lory mostraba una sonrisa fingida. «En fin, el gerente y yo te invitamos a una cena para reconocer tu gran trabajo. ¿Puedes esta noche a más 9 pm?».

«Lory, que felicidad. Claro que iré será un gusto para mí». Los ojos se Magaly brillaban ante la noticia.

«Muy bien, preciosa, te esperamos. Aquí está la dirección».

Lory se despedía de Magaly y corría hacia su cita con el presidente de la junta. Llevaba los papeles para ser firmados. Entraba en la oficina con sutileza. «Buen día, señor. El gerente le envía los informes para que los lea y le dé su firma como representante legal». Lory se sentaba de forma seductora.

«Claro, con mucho gusto, señorita». El presidente empezaba a sudar ante tal belleza. «Los reviso y le doy mi firma».

«Ay, pero acaso no confía en mí, yo misma los revise y están muy bien». Lory se trasladaba al escritorio y sus encantos empezaban a hechizar al hombre.

Lory empezaba a pasar páginas rápidamente y se detenía en la orden. «Regálame tu firma aquí. Disculpa por tomarme tanta confianza, pero es que eres tan sexy». Las bellas manos se pasaban por el rostro del hombre aturdido, quien firmaba sin darse cuenta. En ese instante, una voz por el teléfono volvió a la realidad al hombre.

«Este, este, ya esta señorita Lory y cuando pueda podemos seguir conociéndonos». El presidente le hacía un guiño.

«Sera todo un placer, señor. Ahora me retiro para que siga con su trabajo». Lory se paseaba sensualmente por la oficina hasta salir.

La mujer regresaba con Rudolf y mostraba el preciado papel. La pareja estaba a punto de ser millonaria. «Ahora, tenemos la autorización, solo debemos encontrar a quien mover los fondos».

«No te preocupes, cariño, ya tengo la persona indicada». Lory abrazaba al regordete hombre.

Llegó la noche, Magaly se hacía presente en la casa de Lory. Tocaba la puerta e inmediatamente era bienvenida al lujoso lugar. «Sigue, sigue, preciosa».

«Gracias, Lory». Tímidamente Magaly seguía y se sentaba en la sala.

De la cocina salió Rudolf comiendo un muslo de pollo, la grasa le brotaba por un lado de la boca. Él levantaba un brazo y hacía un gesto cordial. Los tres conversaron un rato y fueron rompiendo el hielo y entraron en confianza. Magaly estaba feliz porque tenía la impresión de que algo importante pasaría en su vida aquella noche.

La velada pasaba sin contratiempos, Lory se dirigió hasta Magaly. «Espero me haya quedado deliciosa la cena». Hacía un guiño a la chica, quien asentía alegremente. «Bueno un brindis por los grandes éxitos y los millones que pronto llegarán».

«¿Millones?», preguntó desconcertada Magaly.

Lory explicó todo en detalle a la chica. Los ojos castaños de Magaly se abrían hasta el máximo de sus cuencas. «Y bien, preciosa, no pensarás quedarte como una simple empleada toda tu vida, desperdiciando tu juventud por un mísero salario, ¿verdad?».

«¿Pero los riesgos son altos, Lory?».

Lory empezó a reír y Rudolf le seguía hasta que empezó a estornudar sin parar y se tomó el cuello desesperadamente. El hombre regordete caía sin vida. «Magaly, no hay vuelta atrás, eres mi cómplice y ahora tenemos que fugarnos de este país. Seremos millonarias sin ese apestoso hombre. Jaja».

Lory tomaba de la mano a Magaly y salían de apartamento. Las dos mujeres esperaron a que amaneciera y fueron al banco a mover los fondos a la cuenta de Magaly, luego emprendieron la huida hacia el aeropuerto, compraron los boletos de avión y salieron corriendo hasta la puerta de abordaje.

Magaly pasó primera, pero Lory fue detenida, el detector de metales dio aviso de un arma en la maleta y fue detenida. Magaly subía al avión y desde la puerta movía la mano en son despedida, ya en el aire y rumbo a un país tropical, Magaly recordaba como metía la pistola en la maleta de Lory, mientras reía a carcajadas. La azafata preguntaba, «¿Se siente bien, señorita?».

«Por supuesto, mejor que nunca. Recuerde que el fin justifica los medios. Jaja».
