Women And The Society : A Nurturer And More || LOH#184

In the early days, women are considered mainly as the homemakers. Their role is to take care of the home, nurturing and caring for the children and their better half.

Whenever I read or see a movie about how women's opinions were not seen as something of value in the early times, I always feel bad. I can't begin to imagine how they must felt. Having to suppress their opinions and having their voice silenced, facing all forms of discrimination. Only a few were able to break the barriers but today the story is different.

Today women are nurturers, home building, and much more. Women in the society today have established their own identity. Most women are financially self-sufficient and independent.

It gladdens my heart to know that women also have their voice and some societies are even allowing women to take on leadership roles. We have fewer societies that frown on women's leadership roles as many are seeing the impact of women in the growth and development of society.

So yes, I believe women have a clear role in the society. We are now known for more than our culinary skills and more of our intellect and our problem-solving skills.

Talk about empowerment, women are mostly at the forefront, bringing about various projects that would help the female child. There are lots of vocational skills out there that are being taught in schools and communities to youths.

In communities around me, you barely see a teenager who is not going to learn one vocation or the other.

If we think about it, women haven't deviated from their nurturing skills, we have rather modified it, teaching it to the younger generation and making it a skill they can also use to generate income for themselves.

The role of women now has changed significantly for the better. Women are breaking barriers and becoming professionals. They are involved in the decision-making of the home as they support their family in all areas, even providing financial support.

Women are professionals in various fields and sectors including education, sports, politics, and many more. They are attaining a higher level of education as they now have access to quality education and they are in turn using that knowledge it to impact meaningfully into the younger generation.

The role of women in their homes and families remains still but then women have further integrated themselves into society and making changes now and for many generations to come.
