Beer Saturday : Crux Fermentation Project's Gimme Mo IPA
My #beersaturday share; this one is a throwback to last year's trip to the West Coast...or more specifically the Pacific Northwest.
I will say this one was a blast. My wife found us a hotel room along the coast of the Pacific Ocean, and the view a few from the room was amazing. What a place to sit back, relax, and enjoy a local brew.
The beer was pretty good, too. As you might know, I love my IPAs, and Oregon is known for its IPAs. I always try to support local breweries, and that can be a bit risky. Some smaller breweries make some really tasty beers; others can sometimes be green, infected, or have some other funky flavor. This one came through very well.
Juicy and hoppy. I was happy this one delivered. At 6.2% ABV, it wasn't too heavy for a beer. Which was perfect, because I had a six-pack to get through. Not bad at all.
With the family beachcombing for sea shells, it was the perfect late afternoon to chill out after a huge day of traveling. I always dread a day of airline travel, but the beers always taste so good when you get to your destination. At least I think so...

Hopefully, all are having a wonderful weekend...I should be back next weekend with a more current beer in hand. There was a good one locally involving a university chancellor, his wife, and the adult film entertainment industry. Great stuff to dedicate a new beer to!
