CineTV Contest: Juan de los Muertos [Eng-Esp]

The movie Juan de los Muertos has become my favorite zombie movie.
The first time I saw it was a long time ago, I remember that my brother, my parents and I were in the living room of the house, my dad had already seen it, maybe that's why he was laughing since the movie started, and yes, it's a very funny movie, it has a very colloquial Cuban humor. During the course of the film my brother and I accompanied my dad in the laughter, because he laughed as if it was the first time. I remember that every time a zombie came out I covered my eyes 😂 (I've never been a horror story lover) but then it went away because with the laughter and the expectation I didn't have time to cover them again. The second time I watched the movie again was one afternoon at my grandmother's house where all the cousins were gathered, my brother, as usual, wanted to tell all the interesting parts and thank goodness it wasn't like that because we threatened to gag him. That afternoon the laughter became present and we learned from my grandmother that this was the first zombie movie to be seen in Cuba. I love the creativity that those actors had in the film because you can definitely see that they enjoyed recording that, for me the funniest moments were when Juan (the protagonist) appeared with his group of friends killing zombies, because Juan opened a business that was about that: killing dead, what he didn't count on was that even his own friends would become them and then everything would be about survival. It always comes to mind how the film recreates the entire Havana full of zombies, just thinking that on the Malecon you can find a dead person, and that's scary. The character of La China is for me, after Juan, one of the funniest. I was very surprised by Andrea Duro's participation in the film, I have always been very struck by her way of acting; spontaneous and unique.
After watching the movie several times I have already managed to learn the scenes and know until each character will say. Alexis Díaz de Villegas (the one who gives life to the character of Juan) has become one of my favorite actors to this day because as my aunt would say: That man played a tremendous role
Alejandro Burgués also became one of my reference Film Directors, this being the director and screenwriter of Juan de los Muertos.

La película Juan de los muertos se ha convertido en mi película de zombis favoritas.
La primera vez que la vi fue hace muchísimo tiempo, recuerdo que estábamos mi hermano, mis padres y yo en la sala de la casa, mi papá ya la había visto, a lo mejor por eso se reía desde que empezó la película, y es que si, es una película muy cómica, tiene un humor cubano muy coloquial. En el transcurso del filme mi hermano y yo acompañamos a mi papá en las risas, pues él se reía como si fuese la primera vez. Recuerdo que cada vez que salía un zombie yo me tapaba los ojos 😂 (nunca he sido amante de las historias de terror) pero luego se me fue pasando porque con la risa y la expectación no me daba tiempo a tapármelos de nuevo. La segunda vez que volví a ver la película fue una tarde en casa de mi abuela donde estábamos todos los primos reunidos, mi hermano como ya es costumbre en él, quería contar todas las partes interesantes y menos mal que no fue así porque amenazamos con amordazarlo. Esa tarde las risas se hicieron presente y por mi abuela nos enteramos que esa era la primera película de zombis que se veía en Cuba. Amo del filme la creatividad que tuvieron esos actores porque sin duda se ve que disfrutaron grabando aquello, para mi los momentos más divertidos fueron en los que aparecía Juan (el protagonista) con su grupo de amigos matando zombis, pues Juan abrió un negocio que se trataba de eso: matar muertos, con lo que no contaba era que hasta sus propios amigos se convertirían en ellos y entonces todo trataría de supervivencia. Siempre me viene a la mente como el filme te recrea a La Habana entera repleta de zombis, de solo pensar que en el Malecón te puedes encontrar con un muerto, ya eso da miedo. El personaje de La China es para mi, después de Juan uno de los más graciosos. Me sorprendió mucho la participación de Andrea Duro en la película, siempre me ha llamado mucho la atención su forma de actuar; espontánea y única.
Después de ver la película varias veces ya he logrado hasta aprenderme las escenas y saber hasta que dirá cada personaje. Alexis Díaz de Villegas (el que le da vida al personaje de Juan) se ha convertido hasta los días en uno de mis actores favoritos porque como diría mi tía: Ese hombre interpretó tremendo papel
Alejandro Burgués se convirtió también en uno de mis Directores de Cine de referencia, siendo este, el director y guionista de Juan de los Muertos.
