THE UNCOMMON CHANGE

Greetings!

There's one thing in this life that's constant, what is that thing? Hmmm! The only thing that's constant in this life is..." CHANGE". Change to me can be said to be a total turnaround of a particular thing, person or place from its former state to a new state. This change(s) I'm talking about can be in a good or bad form. Change! I have seen someone doing good that changes to doing bad, and there's some who is known to doing bad but turn a new leaf and started doing good. It's all depends on the individual and the kind of change they want. I have also seen someone lazy but turns out to be a hard working people, just to mention a few.

Let's all imagine there's nothing like change in this world, where would the world have been, maybe the world would have been redundant without any development, there wouldn't have been any progress, technology would not have come to existence, innovation would not have come forth, in short, everything would have been stagnant. If the maker of the world has not made change to exist, light would not have come into the world, maybe the planet earth would not have been rotating as it used to rotate, plant would not have been springing out of the soil. Lots of things would not have happened and we would have been living in the dark old age. But thank God for the existence of change that has brought huge developments to the world in terms of innovation, ideas, technology and science which has really improved the lives of people in the world.

When people talks about change, I used to think it's all about stature or status, not knowing that there's are still more to it. But for someone like me, my past years, most especially my last year has been full of all sorts of negative deeds ranging from negligence of duty to laziness, inability to improve myself technologically, what of my time wasting habit, I have wasted time not minding the popular saying that says, " TIME IS MONEY", lack of vision was another thing I was battling with in the past year. My act of procrastination was the second to none.also, I used to take thing with levity just but to mention a few. All these I have mentioned has really affected me in one way or the other. Hmmm! There's no way you push me that I will be moved to do that thing you asked me to do and this is because the willingness is not there. Normally, deep inside me, I would have love to change all these my attitudes, but I lack the spark and the zeal to do so. Although people around me are doing exploits just because of their way of life, but I don't care, I only believe there's time and season for everything in life and that, there own time has come, believing my own time will soon come. But will it come with this my attitude? Let's see. But

At the start of this year, things began to take a new change in my life without anybody's influence. I started the year 2024 doing new and great things which is even beyond my own power and comprehension. Early this year, I started to seeing things in different way and people around me were beginning to wonder and asking themselves questions about my new way of life which has caught them by surprise. Parts of those things that has changed in my way of life is that I now have vision and this my vision has led me into doing different things which I will only touch two or three things out of the many that has changed about me.

In the month of January this year, the power of change caught me by surprise and I started my livestock farming and to be precise, I venture into poultry farming. Though, I started very small with a vision of expanding it before the end of the year. Then in January, I started with two fowl but now, I now have more than three which is a testament to fulfilling one of my visions this year. Also as regard the rearing of bird, I started with a cage, but now, i now have my cages. So i that was lazy before, now delight in doing everything within myself to make things work for my good. What a rapid change? I now have joy seeing the multiplication in what I do. That's the first change that happened in my life this year 2024 compared to last year 2023.

Also, this year has been so good to me in terms of change, I used to be a supplier of granite and stone dust before that last year, visiting sites to get supply but it got to a time that the person I partner with hijacked everything from me and I decided to abandon the business because of the setback he has caused me. But this year, I decided to gather myself together and start all over again which I did excellent well by printing cards and flier with visiting sites on top of my to do list. As luck would have it, I had series of supply in the month of June and July which I later invested into buying of palm oil with the aim of selling it when the time comes.

In this same year 2024, I that used to be harsh with my students at school now cherish and play with them. Even the students are now free to come to me and ask me questions on what is not clear to them. One of them not quite long asked me what has happened? And I told her that change has taken over me. I told her that change is constant and that, that is the power of change. Those students now see me as their friends and they and their parent now gift me things I will not have gotten from them in my last year.

Also, I hate writing most especially creative writing in my past year, but, I now enjoy writing more than ever and this has really prompted me to share most of my experiences to people. This is change of a lifetime.

Lastly, I have been able to cultivate the small portion of land in compound. Last year, I just left the land uncultivated, but through the changes that has occurred in my life recently, I cultivated the land and planted crops like plantain, cassava, okra etc. Can you see the rapid change that has occurred so far in me only within a year. This is massive and rapid. It's a total turnaround. And I'm really enjoying it.

What's that change you're craving for? It's will surely come. Just don't relent and ne positive about it.
