Cross Culture Weekend Threads #9: Talking to Strangers
Last week's thread contest was AWESOME! We got a ton of entries, Around 30 I believe, though I didn't count. #crossculture was trending on threads!
Let's keep it going this week. We will continue the theme of asking questions about behaviors which tend to vary between different cultures.

Ok so let’s get into it.
This week’s topic
"Do you enjoy talking to strangers? If so, when and where?"
Spending a big chunk of my life in both China and Japan, this is one of the biggest cultural differences I felt between the two countries.
Some places it's normal to strike up a conversation on a bus or in a restaurant. Some places it's not. In some places people just talk to whoever they are curious about and in some places it's seen as rude and uncomfortable.
Sometimes this culture can vary even within the same city depending on where and how you usually spend you time.
When would you talk to a stranger? Do you mind someone starting a conversation with you? Feel free to give examples of a time when this happened and how you felt.
Feel free to drop as many threads as you want. You can post in a single message or you share more details in the comments of your thread.
How to thread:
1 Go to Leo’s landing page and login to your hive account, choose which community to post a thread in with the little world icon and choose Cross Culture!

2 Go to Cross Culture and click on the threads tabs where you can post without having to set the community:
