Process/Proceso

We start the sketch with the base shape.
For the character design we will take as much as we can from the reference, the feathers on its head in reference to its tail, the feather shoulder pads simulating the chest feathers, and most importantly, the tuft of hair, among other things.

Empezamos el boceto con la forma base.
Para el diseño del personaje tomaremos todo lo que podamos de la referencia, las plumas de su cabeza en referencia a su cola, las hombreras de plumas simulando las plumas del pecho, y lo más importante, el mechón de cabello, entre otras cosas.

We applied the base color, here I had a dilemma, I could make her with her skin tanned, or go to the other extreme and make her totally pale skinned.
In the rest of the colors like hair and clothes I used similar colors to the reference.

Aplicamos el color base, aquí tuve un dilema, podía hacerla con su piel bronceada, o ir al otro extremo y hacerla totalmente pálida de piel.
En el resto de colores como del cabello y ropa use colores similares al de la referencia.

Once all the base color has been applied we can give details to the character.
Let's start with the background.
With respect to the skin I made a horizontal line type makeup, if you look at the character has a line by his eyes also I think it looks nice this kind of details.
The lipstick is a color similar to the color of the parrot's beak.

Una vez aplicado todo el color base podemos dar detalles al personaje.
Empezamos por el fondo.
Con respecto a la piel hice una línea horizontal tipo maquillaje, si se fijan el personaje tiene una línea por sus ojos también opino que se ve bonito este tipo de detalles.
El labial es de un color similar al del pico del lorito.

Now we give highlights and shadows in the hair and clothes, I usually use several tones instead of two, I feel this gives them more visual weight.

Ahora damos luces y sombras en el cabello y ropa, por lo general uso varios tonos en lugar de dos, siento que esto les da mas peso visual.

Finally in a new layer we apply colors to the feathers using the multiply effect.
We give details in the eyes, eyelashes and other areas.
In this final stage we correct the colors and other details.
Oh and we also apply a couple of feathers in a top layer and a little bit blurred.

Para finalizar en una capa nueva aplicamos colores en las plumas usando el efecto multiplicar.
Damos detalles en los ojos pestañas y otras zonas.
en esta etapa final corregimos los colores y otros detalles.
Oh y también aplicamos un par de plumas en una capa superior y algo difuminadas

Friends I am really delighted with this character, I liked it very much, I hope other artists are encouraged to draw her too.
I plan to do another version of her but a little younger, well soon I will share it with you.

Amigos estoy realmente encantados con este personaje, me gusto muchísimo, ojalá otros artistas se animen a dibujarla también.
Tengo pensado hacer otra versión de ella, pero un poco más joven, bueno pronto se los comparto.
