A quiet space.

Good day to my lovely readers and welcome to my blog.
It's another opportunity to participate in this week freewriters contest. Without wasting your time, let's get started.

What do I see?
I see a boy sitting in a school environment, working on a laptop with drink to quench his thirst and gain more energy and having his school bag on the table, laptop bag and lunch box on the floor close to where he is sitting.
What I feel:
I feel he is a writer that needs a quiet space to work and be able to concentrate more without any distraction.
This picture reminded me of when I wanted to write my project and I was asked to read 30 journals and do a literature review map. This period happened to be the time I moved to my aunt's place because I couldn't get a space in the school hostel and her place was the next available option. For about one month I was unable to come up with the review because I was busy with house chores and helping her sell things in the market. I tried taking my laptop with me to her shop but I couldn't achieve anything due to distractions here and there and by the time I get home I am already exhausted. Few weeks to the deadline I decided I will be staying back in school to work on my reviews. I explained to my aunt and she supported my decision.
Once I see that the school environment is calm after school hours. I will move to my working spot near the school field to read and summarize what I have read in a literature review map which I will forward to my supervisor's email. I come to school earlier and leave the campus late in the evening so that I can achieve my goals.
I was able to submit my literature map after a week and I was happy when my name was mentioned among the top five people who submitted before the deadline.
Thanks for reading my story.

Working in a noisy place is really difficult, concentration is hard and you tend to lose focus. Thankfully a change of environment yielded good results for you.

Doing literature review is a hard work! And without proper concentration there can never be a review without mistakes.

Relating the image to personal experiences is a good idea… My first impression was of a young man who was making a publication for Hive, heh heh heh.

All those distractions are the worst. It's as if people are afraid of silence.

You're on point. I do wonder how some people could still work in a noisy environment.
