LOH 171 CONTEST: LADY! ADD VALUE.
What a beautiful way to start the week. I am always happy to share something I feel it's very important to every woman out there. But before I proceed, I will like to share a little story. There is this sister of mine who was searching for job some years ago. She got a teaching job and was not happy because of the little pay. This sister is very pretty and endowed. Not long, she left the job and moved to her friend's place where she met a man who started taking care of her. This man promised to send her to school for her degree and also to be there for her. Unfortunately, she agreed and both of them started moving together, this guy was buying her things and she just got carried away with it. To cut the story short, she got pregnant and because of the pregnancy she married the man. She was not working. So,all the responsibility was on the man. After child birth, the man could no longer cope because the responsibilities was too much for his recharge card business and there was nothing coming from the woman. They manage to have another child, this lady still wasn't doing anything.
After the birth of the second child, the man was no longer coming home, he left the lady and went to stay with another woman.

Hmmm...this story is an introduction to this week ladies of Hive contest. I choose the second question which is to advice the younger generation. Luckily, I'm part of them because I am still young, my advice to the younger women is "add value". No one will cherish a person that is not adding value to them. This lady I sited above is not adding value to the man. She is more of a liability.
A value adding woman is a woman with many skills. Don't limit yourself, keep updating yourself as a lady. Some ladies are still living in the olden days...things are changing, the top is for people who have something to offer. Work on your goals, don't limit yourself because you are a mother. Keep growing.
A value adding woman is an hardworking woman. Ladies, get on your toes! be independent! hard work doesn't kill but idleness does.
Do you want to be respected in the society? Then add value to that society. Enough of tearing down our society with our mouth. As a lady, identify a problem in the society and find a way to solve it.
Keep adding value to yourself, if you need to attend seminars please do, no knowledge is a waste, read books, don't remain at the level you were last year, learn new things and stay on top.
Summarily, dear beautiful lady, this year my advice to you is that add value to yourself which means acquire more knowledge, skills and expertise. Likewise, add value to your immediate family, society and your country.

Thats an epic entry, if she had known she would have continued with her teaching job whilst looking for other opportunity or use the money to invest in herself. Well, i use to advice people especially women like me not to go into marriage if they don't have a stable income. The man will be faced with responsibilities to cater for the family but how will she take care of her present needs? So contest like this will help encourage people. Well, life is not done for her, she can still make amends.

These days no man wants a liability, it is now more or less of what are you bringing to the table in a relationship.
When you as a lady add value to yourself, you will surely be respected and valued.

What a brilliant advice! I think what most people are after in any relationship (love, family, business or work) is value. We are easily attracted to people who are willing to add value to us rather than be a liability.

In today's time woman should think about their stability first before getting into a marriage or having children. Only when they are self sufficient they should go ahead. Being dependent on the man is a very wrong conditioning that has been passed over from generations

Yes, I agree too, nowadays women should also have the means to earn. They should also have the capacity to bring food on the table. To not be dependent on their partners.
