My friends and I ( LOH CONTEST #198)

As I reflect on the journey of my life and my achievement so far, I want to say a big thank you to my creator and to my friends who has in one way or the other contributed to my life. My sincere gratitude goes to the ladies of hive for bringing up a topic that triggered my writing today.
Friendship is good when you choose the right set of friends. I never knew what role my friends played in my life while I was an undergraduate by the time I went for my post graduate studies I realized I know little and I almost couldn't cope with learning again.

While I was an undergraduate, I had three close friends that we read together, I am someone that easily understands whatever we were being taught in class because most of my courses were calculations. Once it's exam period, they will always invite me to their place to come and teach them. I love sleeping then, once they see that I'm sleeping they will wake me and ensure that they keep me company so that I will read and teach them what I learnt and that was how we helped each other till we finished our four years. To me, I thought I was brilliant and that they needed me more than I do. I never appreciate their roles until my first semester during my Masters program. I will sleep and there was nobody to wake me up, studying becomes difficult and it was just mercy that saved me from failing that semester, the following semester I had to make new friends that we study together and that was how I was able to finish with good grades.
I want to appreciate my wonderful friends; Fatogun Oluwaseun, Adeniji Oluwadamilola, Ilesanmi Oluwayemisi and Adekola Olamide for their support and advice in ensuring that I become a better person. I love you all.
In conclusion, living in isolation can really drain someone and getting good friends is not that easy, but their are still good people. Don't let bad experiences stop you from choosing friends because help comes easily from friendship and be determined to be that friend that you wish to have.
