Phone photography # 10 : The rain and the visit to my parents home

Greetings dear Hiveans! After a short break from this community, Iam back with stories of my visit to my parents home. Would you prefer writing a subject that interests you, please do not hesitate to join this contest, hosted by @untilwelearn

After long, I had been there and was happy enough to take my aged parents to meet their loved ones, who were quite faraway from our place. I can never forget the excitement in both their faces. It was just a short vacation for 10 days. It was nice to see a small reunion among them. Hope I get a chance to take them once again to their close ones.

My parents are the best gardeners for me. After my father got retired from defense he came back to his native state kerala. And from then on, he made lot of collection of various plants like turmeric, ginger, banana, pineapple, mangoes, pomegranate, Jackfruit etc.

Firstly, let me introduce to two naughty kittens. The great company to my aged parents.

Now, let me take the credit to tour you around my garden. The rain was also welcoming giving life to greeneries at its best.

Here, this is a pomegranate tree. But before the fruits become ripe, the birds are ready to perch. So most unlikely, we don't get to taste much of this fruit.

This is Aloevaera. A plant with lot of medicinal benefit. It helps in shining skin tone and in hair growth. Neighbours peep in very often to have a stem of aloevaera.

This is the nutmeg tree. This is a rich spice which has a strong aroma. The outer skin in yellow coloir is used for pickles and inside this we get a seed. That is the spice. It is scrapped and taken.

Now this is the egg fruit tree. The colour of this fruit turns into yellow. When you cut you get a seed and pulp part will be same as egg yolk which also tastes the same. That's how the fruit got its name egg fruit.

Finally, this is the Jackfruit tree. As you all know the health benefits are more in jackfruit. When ripe they are eaten as such and when raw its cooked.
