Phone Photography Contest - #57 : Road construction, traffic & Public

Warm Greetings dear members of the feel good community and other Hiveans. Recollecting some memories from the gallery and to pen down a few with images, gives immense happiness.

Today I just need to share the present traffic revolving our place for quite sometime.

Situated to the south end state called Kerala in India, our government has been building National Highway to make the commute even more better. But the sad fact is, though its more than a year since the construction started, the process is still on.

When it comes to construction of bridges, at the nook and corner of the city, the traffic block is just irresistable, making it more miserable for a common man to move around.

I had a personal experience a week ago. As the vacations are in full swing, I decided to spend some time at my parent's home. It is just an hour and a half journey by road to my home, but it nearly took 3 hours for me to reach, due to the traffic block.

It was a reckless journey until I saw the last glimpse of the vehicle in the traffic and finally the beautiful view of the river and greenery after 2 hrs. of battle in the road, beside which we had to pass . This is the famous Ashtamudi river.

The plight was more pitiable, when I saw two Ambulance passing in twist and turns on the opposite directions with patients and the siren ringing from a far, to let the vehicles on the road make way for their easy movement along the road.

The above traffic block photos are taken from thw inside of my vehicle, in the National highway road. As per the government, in another 2 year the work is supposed to get over, making it easy for the public to reach their destination, even before the expected time. Waiting for that glorious moment. But until then ???
